    Another keezer build

Based on Billy Broas's blog. Room for 6-7 kegs, 5 of those on tap. 4 product secondary with the last secondary feeding a 4 port manifold. Two computer fans which run continuously. Johnson A419 temp controller with the probe in a White Labs tube submerged in Vodka. Still trying to figure out...

    Black dry erase paint

Thanks for the responses! I'm just trying to find a way to list my beers on a black keezer and have it look classy. Seems like dry erase would work better than chaulk, which always looks 'dusty'. I'll check out automotive and appliance paint.

    Black dry erase paint

Finally got a chance to scout around for this and after two Home Depot and two Walmart stores in my area I still haven't found this. They all have white dry erase paint and black chalkboard paint but not the black dry erase paint I am looking for. If anyone has another idea or if a kind brewer...

Parts left over from Kegerator/keezer build

Hi all, Building a keezer. If you have any parts left over from a build, I'll take them off your hands. Specifically looking for: SS shanks (4"), MFL nut and barb (1/4 and 5/16), disconnects (gas and liquid), beer line, gas line and of course Perlick 525SS. I need a few of each for a 5...

    Black dry erase paint

Hoping to use some on a keezer build. Anyone know where I can get a small amount? - don't want to spend $150 for 50 sq. ft. Thanks in advance

    Bypassing electric blanket safety switch

Ended up picking up two of these:http://www.walgreens.com/store/c/walgreens-heating-pad/ID=prod3354992-product. A little duct tape and a splitter plug and it looks like it will do the trick. You need to press the power button with this model but tape (and a plastic cutting board "foot") does...

    Bypassing electric blanket safety switch

Yeah, I also found this, the same stuff in a pad shape with protective plastic and a plug: http://www.reptilebasics.com/ultratherm-heat-pads/ultratherm-undertank-heater-uth-11-x47/

    Bypassing electric blanket safety switch

Pictures are in the Amazon listing link I posted above. Strapping it around the vessel and pressing the switch is not a problem but once it reaches temp, the thermostat will cut the power. Later, when the power is turned back on, the unit will be off, even with the switch depressed. It must be...

    Bypassing electric blanket safety switch

it's a touch switch so taping doesn't work (that was the first thing I tried). The switch must be depressed once after power is on.

    Bypassing electric blanket safety switch

Hi all, Hoping someone has an idea. I bought an electric blanket hoping to use it as a wrap to keep my Sanke fermenter warm in the garage. This is the model of blanket: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005448ST2/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20. I'm using a Johnson Controls thermostat to control...

    Upright freezer recommendations

Thanks haus frau. I've actually picked up a Frigidaire model: http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/GLFH21F8HB.html. It's not cheap but I figured once I'm adding a large appliance, I want to make sure I can use it for as many things as possible so it'll probably double as a second fridge...

    Upright freezer recommendations

Hi all, Looking for an upright freezer for fermentation in a Sanke keg and brightening. I'm willing to pay for a new one but having a tough time finding one with adjustable shelves and a flat bottom. My ideal would be one that can fit a Sanke fermenter on the bottom and then a shelf with a...

    15.5 SS Keggle

I'm selling a keggle in decent shape. The keggle has some dents since it was a used keg but all of it seems cosmetic. I can provide more pictures if needed. It's got the top cut and 4 welded 1/2" couplers, all half in, half out. Three of the couplers are in a column for outflow/diptube...

    New Brew Stand

I would suggest that anyone considering this vendor, read this thread: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f173/my-brewers-equipment-brewstand-272967/. Marcus defrauded and attempted to defraud several people on this site (including myself).

    Refractometer advice

Thanks everyone for the feedback. The readings are all taken at a room temp of 65 degrees so the variation on the hydrometer would be tiny. A misread would be convenient but this has happened with several batches. In fact, I had broken my hydrometer and was using exclusively the refractometer...
