Dry Hopping advice - Citra , Cascade or Amarillo?

Yes, currently I use .5oz of Amarillo and 1oz of Citra. I have the half ounce left over from my kettle additions so it seems like a good use. In the future when I can obtain Amarillo by the pound I may give it a test run with the full ounce. Here is my hop schedule 1oz Centennial @ 60...

Dry Hopping advice - Citra , Cascade or Amarillo?

I dry hop my house IPA with Amarillo and Citra and it gives off a great aroma. I don't thin you can go wrong with any of them.

Do commercial breweries use hop bags with pellets?

At our brewery (7bbl system) we use a custom hop basket for bittering and other early additions. For late additions we just dump them in the kettle. We found that with our IPA that even though we were whirlpooling we still got a decent amount of hops that were getting into and clogging the...

    Concentrated Lemonade Flavoring?

A couple years ago I used True Lemon packets when making a shandy out of a cream ale. I used 12 packets at bottling time but you could use more/less depending on how much lemon flavor you want.

    White Stuff on Yeast, Infection?

Did my first lager yesterday and first time using dry yeast in years. Brewed, cooled, rehydrated, and pitched last night. Checked this morning and noticed white stuff in the wort? I have never had an infection in 20+ batches and never used lager yeast so looking for some help. If it is an...

    Inkbird Controller

check to make sure that you don't have a stray wire from your hot side touching another wire. I had that problem when I wired mine up but on the cold side so the freezer never turned off. Upon review I had one stray strand of wire reaching across the isle to the main power. A quick fix and...

    Creature Comforts Tropicalia Clone

Looks good. Let us know how it turns out. I am in the process of crafting a session version of this as I was a bit loud at the pool the other week. It just goes down too easily for a 6.5% at the pool for me.

Question on wiring/setup for 2-stage Inkbird in Collar

I have had the Inkbird controller for a couple months now (since they started advertising on HBT) and have zero complaints. Just like you I wanted the ease of seeing Fahrenheit versus having to convert. Works just like any normal STC just in Fahrenheit. As far as preventing cold air loss...

Wheat IPA recipe attempt.. Thoughts please

That is pretty close to the grain bill that I use for my American Wheat (with Mosaic as the only hops). Came out super light and crisp so I would think with that hop bill should be what you are looking for. I typically use WLP029 but I think either of your yeasts will work.

    Creature Comforts Tropicalia Clone

Just did a side by side comparison this evening. Color seems to be spot on. The aroma and flavor both seem to be somewhat subdued compared to the original. I am going to take @mbbransc's advice on the grain bill and see if reducing the maltiness from the pale ale and caramel malts helps the...

    Creature Comforts Tropicalia Clone

I bottled my attempt yesterday morning. Sample had great aroma and tasted pretty good as well. Only "issue" was that my FG was 1.014 vs my estimate of 1.012. Not sure it's going to make a huge difference, but I may drop back on the Caramel 20 next go around to see if that helps. I'll post...
