Grain mill. who has the best bang for the buck.

I really like my Barley Crusher. It has a nice sized hopper and is easy to connect to a power drill. The hand crank is designed to work with a power drill or the hand crank. Very nice unit.

My Sculpture was not created equal!

Subscribed.. Very nice build. Be careful with that converted kettle shown in the picture at left. I noticed your fittings are directly above the "vent hole". That heat that comes out of the hole is extreme when your burner is running. It can melt the rubber handle on a ball valve. I also...

Force Carbonation Root Beer After Taste

It certainly could be something growing inside the line. It seems to have a "hint" of rootbeer odor but could be something causing a bug as well. Thanks for the reply

Force Carbonation Root Beer After Taste

I have a 20lbs CO2 Tank that I use for force carbonation and beer service. The current setup is a dual regulator and a 2way CO2 distribution bars which feeds two soda kegs. A few months back, I force carbonated a root beer for my daughter to enjoy. I now have a dedicated tap and soda keg for...

    What controller do I need?

Here is a box I built for a friend which powers a 24 volt gas valve. It uses the Johnson Control A419. I have also built one in the past using the LOVE controller. Both will work fine. http://www.gbrewing.com/2011/07/09/beer-brewing-temperature-control-using-johnson-controls/ Here is a...

American Wheat Beer Widmer Hefeweizen American Wheat

Humann Brewing, I tried your recipe today. Looking forward to tasting how it turns out. I the amount of hops a bit to make sure they came in overall at 30%. Thanks for posting this recipe. If it comes close to Widmer Hef, I think I might get an open checkbook to buy more brewing equipment...

    DIY mash paddle.

Make some spot on the handle wide enough to collect signatures for fun. A friend of mine made his own mash paddle and those who stick around to help him out on a brew day get to sign the paddle. It is interesting to look back at those names and see several of them have become home brewers.. Me...

    Another Brutus in the making

Here is a comparison I did with the low pressure jet to the high pressure Banjo with video. http://www.gbrewing.com/2010/02/06/jet-burner-versus-banjo-burner/ It shows some side by side comparisons.

    Another Brutus in the making

Ahh yes... Now I recognize the name! Another BCS'er.. :mug: I think your burners will work great! I just wanted to make sure you weren't going to repeat my mistake at any point by trying to run the 0-30 psi adjustable regulator with the pictured gas valves. I brew 5 or 10 gallon batches...

    Another Brutus in the making

Ron, Are the burners you are using low or high pressure? How are you planning on mounting the standing pilot to the burners? I read that you are using the two stage regulator. I know that if you take your system specs into a propane dealer, they will get you into the right dual stage...
