    amount of honey

I ended up with what looked like around 5.3 gals and used just about the whole 18lbs of honey. Tried to take a hydrometer reading and i couldn't really read it due to foam It looked like it was between 1.1 and 1.12.. Is this good, or am i about to have a pretty strong nasty tasting mead

    First cyser

so for a 3 gallon batch of this, you would basically toss 3lbs of honey in a primary fermenter, then add cider to make 3gal? or add 3lbs per gallon of cider? then pitch 5g of yeast? this sounds like something i would want to try next

few questions a for a first timer

Ok everything i used was in good shape (no scratches that i could see at least). and also, this white foam that appeared after my vigorous mixing with my drill, which made it really hard to take a hydrometer reading, is normal?

Yes all this has been very helpful.. Researching on SNA however, has got me nowhere. Im going to take the advice i got here and start when fermentation starts. But im seeing to add it every day, and then im seeing every 2 days till 1/3 break. I also cant seem to find out how much of fermaid K i...

    New to Brewing/Mead
