    Another bar build

I know. Had some buddies over we were sitting there talking about gutting a fridge and insulating one side of bar for kegs and then having a tap on top of bar. Anything is possible! I picked up a flat screen and should have up by this weekend. Will send more pics. Thanks for the feedback

    My BIAB brewstand

Thanks for the info. Where did you get 2" metal for the frame? I am not a welder nor do I have access to a welder. This is my biggest hurdle with getting my setup started. Any ideas? I like the idea of the fish tank temp nipple. I am guessing this gives the temp going out which is the temp...

    My BIAB brewstand

That's a good setup. I have been looking to something like this. Would you mind telling me about the set up and how you did it? I'm curious about the stand, what kind of pump and the chiller/lines. Thanks in advance. Great build!!!

    Pumpkin something

That's awesome! Mine came out ok. I put a lot of different stuff in it. Was yours extract and what was the ingredients? I am curious. I have some family coming into town for thanksgiving and wanted to have a good overall festive beer. Any ideas?

    Pumpkin something

Week in the keg and gave it a shot. 8% abv. Slight pumpkin, taste slight maple syrup, gram cracker. Added a little more pumpkin spice to keg. Pretty smooth for high abv. Will deff add more to boil next time. Didn't want to add too much. Only added 2 tbsp to boil at flame out. Added 60 oz...

    Pumpkin something

Glad yours is doing well. I racked to keg last night after cold crashing. I lost a good gallon or so with trub. OG was 1.070 and FG is 1.010. About 8% abv. Tasted pretty good. I added a little more vanilla and pumpkin spice when racking. Put on gas and in kegerator. Will let it sit for...

    Pumpkin something

Update if any one is still following. Cold crashing pumpkin ale now and will be transferring to keg tomorrow night. Will let you know gravity and how much I lose from pie filling. Hope it tastes good.

    Pumpkin something

Color looked to be pretty orange. Yea the gravity was high but I wanted something that had some kick to it plus all the sugars should keep it pretty smooth. I used Mt Hood and Cascade hops. Ill let you know progress. I did siphon from kettle to fermenter and ended up with about 6 gallons...

    Pumpkin something

So hey. I brewed Monday. It went pretty well. I used 60 oz of canned pumpkin. I put the pumpkin pie filling in baking dish, w/ 1# of brown sugar, 12 oz orange blossom honey, 6 oz maple syrup, 1 cup of gram cracker, tbsp vanilla extract and a little cinnamon and nutmeg. Baked for 30 mins...

    Pumpkin something

Sounds yummy Brentman. How much did you lose? I'm thinking I may lose 1 gallon. I have a large nylon grain bag or even a strainer I could use when transferring from kettle to fermenter. Might help filter some of the gunk. Any thoughts on what you may have done differently? I am planning on...

    Haier kegerator compressor

That's some good info and thanks for the pic. I'd say mine deff goes below 40. I had a digital thermometer in there when I first got it and it would read 38 most the time and rise slowly. Wasn't on cold setting. Mine is in a/c tho and not outside. I've heard these units shouldn't be. Just...

    Pumpkin something

No worries Brentman. Thanks for getting back. This thread grew a little since I've been gone! Just moved into a new house and trying to get settled so I can get brewing a pumpkin ale. That recipe sounds pretty good. I'm deff gonna try the gram cracker. I may add honey, brown sugar and maple...

    Pumpkin something

Brentman. Few questions on your brew. Did u used canned pumpkin that had spices in it? How did bake the gram cracker in pie filling? On top? Did it burn? Is this AG or extract? Curious on you recipe. Thanks.
