    Upgrade Decisions

I'm still bottling btw...but have a chest freezer that I ferment in for now. I want to turn it into a keezer but felt I'd rather spend my money on better quality Homebrew equipment first before I step into keg brews. I don't mind bottling if it's gonna be good beer

Wow this community is awesome. Right now I just have your basic 5 gallon kettle, so I can't do a full boil for a 5 gallon batch. We have a gas range but I didn't know if it's take too long to bring a full wort to boil on it. I guess maybe going big and getting all 3 would be best. I want to...

    Upgrade Decisions

Hey all, I've brewed about 5 extract batches and slowly become better at it, but its time to upgrade my equipment. I currently do have a fermentation chamber, so I've got that part covered, so now I'm looking at a few other things, but I'd like some opinions from those with more experience...

    Thundercookie Gingerbread Stout

I bottled 2.5 weeks ago...each one I've had tastes better. Cracked one today and it's the best by far

    Thundercookie Gingerbread Stout

Cracked my first one. Very tasty, smells like chocolate with a light taste of the spice potion. I'm really pleased how this one turned out. It's actually better when it's not ice cold, and it wasn't over carbonated. My brew yet!

    Thundercookie Gingerbread Stout

Just cracked my first bottle...spent 2 weeks in the bottle in the closet and a day in the fridge..I couldn't wait any longer. Beer was smooth with a chocolaty taste then some gingerbread flavor on the end. I'll post pics of the next I crack...gonna be soo good in a few more weeks!

    Thundercookie Gingerbread Stout

Yeah I used it all, I was thinking the same thing. It's been in the bottle 1 1/2 weeks right now. I'll be putting it in the fridge on Sunday then probably try one next weekend to see where it's at I'll post some pics

    Thundercookie Gingerbread Stout

Awesome, yeah I'm losing patience while I wait for this to carb up in the bottle. Can't wait to try a test bottle in another week or so.

I just rehydrated dry yeast and it took off just fine. I called them and asked about a yeast starter and he said dry works great. He said use a liquid yeast/starter if you're more specific on a certain yeast to put off certain flavors. I rehydrated the dry though and things went smoothly...

    Thundercookie Gingerbread Stout

Finally got this beast all bottled up, even threw some in a few spare bombers I had sitting around. Definitely had a great smell to it. The spice potion was interesting, I poured only the vodka portion which is what you're supposed to do. The strange part is all the spices had formed into...

    Midwest Pumpkin Ale

Sorry I meant to post but I finally cracked a bottle after 2 weeks in the bottle with a week after that in the fridge this beer turned out amazing! Great color, light taste of pumpkin but a good aroma which I like better. I'd rather not drink Pumpkin Pie.

    Thundercookie Gingerbread Stout

Hey so I'm bottling this weekend so I'll post an update then. I'm going to add the spice potion at bottling this first time around. The wort tasted great when it went into the primary but I didn't get a chance to try it before secondary. I'll let you know how it goes!

    Thundercookie Gingerbread Stout

Hey @WildernessBrewing I'm actually bottling this weekend. I'm gonna put in the spice potion at bottling. I'm hoping it's not super syrup-y I'll let you know how it goes I should be bottling Sunday and I'll post some pics. The spice potion has been chilling for quite awhile now.

    Thundercookie Gingerbread Stout

Certainly...it had a strong molasses coffee flavor when I put the wort in the primary. The spices sit in a cup.of vodka which is all added at bottling...really hoping it turns out!

    Midwest Pumpkin Ale

Going to a secondary was a good idea...really cleared things up from this

    Midwest Pumpkin Ale

Bottled this one last night...I'm curious to see how the flavor comes together. One thing I didn't do was top off water to make up for the pumpkin. I ended up with only 40 bottles worth. Oh well it looks good I'll post some pics when its carbed up. For now I'll attach some of the move to...
