I've got a couple weeks before bottling?

I've got my carboy sitting on the floor, so it will need to be moved so I can transfer it to a bottling bucket. My question is when I move it does it need to sit for a while? I assume moving it from the floor to a counter top would stir it up? Thanks.

    Advice on cooling wort.

I took my plastic fermenter and let it float in my pool for about 30 minutes, it worked good. It's been kinda cool here in Texas the water was about 34 degrees. I'm going to make a chiller before summer gets here.

    hydrometer question?

I boiled a Canadian ale yesterday and forgot to take a reading before pitching my yeast, the OG reading was supposed to be 1.054 but after pitching the yeast the reading was 1.060 I'm not worried, I'm just wondering how many points the yeast will change the reading? Thanks

Does it really matter? I like Newcastle and have quite a few bottles, I'm brewing a Canadian ale and a chocolate stout. Are clear bottles a no no?
