    Yooper Brewday this summer?

I'm pretty much free the 2nd half of July. Houghton for the 4th holiday weekend and possibly back up there the the weekend of the 8/9th. I might go to another beer festival on Sat July 30th in Minocqua, WI (went there last year, and not too far from Eagle River). But otherwise, I'll be around.

    Hello from Wisconsin

Greetings fishcrazy06, from just on the MI side of the river, up north of you. I'm in the Green Bay area once in a while, (probably will be this weekend to do some disc golf and a microbrew run at Woodmans, etc)

Copper Harbor, MI Hoists a Brew to You!

Cool, Head413. I'm from the Houghton area originally and get up to Copper Harbor once in awhile. I'll be sure to check it out once it's up and running.

The longest you've gone exclusively drinking homebrew

The longest I've gone on homebrew alone is about 3 months. As stated by many others, I also am a huge fan of variety, and the past few years have gotten even more so. I usually have several different styles when I drink, a pint of some homebrew, a bottle of some microbrew, etc. Often taking...

Great Northern Beer Festival in northern WI

It was great meeting you also Tiber, and Yooper, always a pleasure. I think this year's festival was great. Too bad you weren't able to make it, lschiavo. I actually found that the Red Eye's 'Red Ey3' was really good, as well as South Shore's Weisbock brew. If my phone wouldn't have got...

Great Northern Beer Festival in northern WI

Yeah, I hope the rain holds off too. Sounds like we might get a few drops later tonight, but nothing tomorrow. It's looking like a great beerfest! Stop by and visit tonight, Yooper and Timber.

Great Northern Beer Festival in northern WI

Same here. Last years' was a blast. I'm happy to see two other breweries that I've always enjoyed, Founders and New Belgium making it there as well. Great line-up of WI and midwest breweries (plus a few others). Tickets in hand, campsite reserved, and ready to go :rockin:

    Interested in Homemade Soda

Oh, yeah, I remember when they made it with the Kola-nut and sugar cane. That was one tasty pop.

    2011 Hop Garden Picture Thread

Haha. Retrofit, As for someone who has personally been in lschiavo's bucket truck before, I can say that he can't fly. I guess no more than I could when I was in that bucket.

Great Northern Beer Festival in northern WI

Anyone planning to go to the Great Northern Beer Festival ? Saturday June 11th 2-6pm. It's in northern WI, in Eagle River. I went last year. Good times. Some very good beers sampled there. Have my tickets already. Sounds like a few new breweries will be there this year.

    New Glarus DIPA

Duff, they have a special 4 pack every 3 months. Last year I had all 4 special brews that they released. Each one was great, a lambic beer, cherry stout, abby ale and an apple bracket. I've yet to try their new DIPA, but will be picking that up soon. New Glarus makes some great beers. Easily...

    Stevens Point Brewery "Specialty" Brews

While I enjoy the beers in their 12 pack, I'd have to recommend that you try their 'whole hog' series, which come in 4packs. Their Russian Imperial Stout and six-hop IPA are the only two of the series that I've tried so far, but were very good.

    Leinenkugel make a RIS?!?!

Revvy, I tried it a few weeks ago. It's the only beer by them that really tastes like a micro brew. I was impressed by it. It's a class above their other beers. If I see it sold anywhere again, I'm sure to pick up another 4 pack of it. It actually poured nice, thick and black and had a nice...

    Sam Adams gets rid of...

I just picked up the sampler last weekend and really enjoyed the Chocolate Bock. Would be happy to see them release it as a 6 pack. Decent chocolate presence. I'd almost like an even stronger chocolate taste, but it's great where it's currently at.

    Hey all from West Michigan.

Greetings, lakeshorebrewer. And greetings, Wrenchman. 20 miles west of Esky, eh? That'd put me about 30 miles west of you. I'm guessing you're nearby the casino.

Last Call- Any interest in a UP brewday?

Had a great time and was great meeting you all! Too bad you couldn't make it BraveSirRobin. Great weather, great beer, great food and great people! Was interesting watching the 15 gallon batch being brewed - with all of the different techniques used and a larger operation than I usually do...

Last Call- Any interest in a UP brewday?

I won't be brewing, but I will bring some beer from a batch that I just brewed. I'm going to be camping about 35 miles from your camp Yooper, according to Google Maps. Since camping I thought it'd be easier to just bring some pre-made.
