    ##*%@$## weatherman

27 below this morning with a high of zero today and 25 below again tonight. This is one time I wish my #$%^@%& weatherman was wrong. Heating bill might cut into my beer money! Not! Got to have a few priorities. Still, cold is better than hurricanes and tornado's.

Feeling ready to give up on BIAB.

I went from pot mashing to cooler mashing with a bag and it's way easier to hold temps. The degree drop is minimal, about 2-3 degrees. Wish I would've thought about the oven bit like NSMikeD though before I spent money on a cooler. Still the cooler works great, especially with a false bottom.

    Dry hopping with pellet hops?

I like the idea of not messin around with the seconary. Whats a good baseline for a nice fresh hop flavor for using, lets say, cascade or citra?

    Dry hopping with pellet hops?

How about the amount of hops? Do you guys usually use a secondary or do you just go from primary to keg with the dry hop in the keg?

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Kegging a coffee mocha porter on wed. Making a Citra pale ale Saturday and a Nut brown ale on Sunday. My first two AG batches.

Dropping secondary ingredients in the primary

I've found that adding cocoa powder gives you a grainy mouthfeel. Kinda like nestle quik powder in a glass of chocolate milk. I'd use the nibs as suggested above.

    getting my kegerator online

Thanks! Did you guys get the flow control? I don't wanna go through the balancing bit so I'm leaning towards them. Bit lazy.

    getting my kegerator online

Any new thoughts on the Intertap faucets? Faucets and shanks are my last bits to go and my kegerator will finally be functional after 3 months of collecting all the hardware. Ordering them on Saturday so any opinions would be appreciated.
