Definitely CO2. The symptoms are related to asphyxiation caused by sudden lack of oxygen in your brain. Not sure why you would want to try it again but after a few minutes the gas dispersed and wasn't as concentrated. It's generally a mistake you only make once (did it myself).

Not a bulkhead mountable style. I just built a new mash tun and an hesitant to drill holes in it yet.

So the analog thermometer I use for my mash tun recently crapped out on me and I would like to replace it with a digital one. I'm not looking to break the bank but I also don't want to deal with a piece of junk. Any recommendations out there?
