Haha, it is quite the addiction. Must try kegging next, you will brew a lot more when you don't have to bottle anymore. At least, that is how it worked with me. Enjoy the new stuff, I just picked up a 3rd brewpot that I don't need but what the hell, it was a good deal :)

Are you going to be starting out as an extract brewer? You didn't list a kettle in the list of things you already own so that's a fairly obvious choice and depending on what your plans are for the future, kettles can be pricey. If you just want a basic kettle to start out with extract the cost...

That's awesome! Great idea.

The only way to know if you really have a stuck fermentation or if it is finished is to take a gravity reading with your hydrometer. Just because there doesn't appear to be activity doesn't necessarily mean there is no activity.

If you aren't going to be able to brew in awhile, I say push on! Not ideal but its better than not brewing at all.

My 4 year old helps me now now and then, he also likes to help make my coffee in the morning. The first day he went to Day Care they introduced him to the class and his first words were "I like beer and coffee". It made for an interesting introduction to his new teachers.

Awesome stuff! Today marked my return to brewing as well but it wasn't nearly as exciting. I had to stop brewing for about 9 months because of a bad back and surgery but am finally doing good enough to start brewing again. I am doing an Oatmeal Stout and a Melomel today!
