Is there anybody out there who's got "that" conical?

Sorry to rehash an old thread, but I am thinking of getting one of his brewpots, since my keggle is kind of unwieldy for 5 gallon batches. To those that own one of the pots, are you pleased with it? How is the valve? Handles?

    Bittering after fermentation?

Awesome. I figured, but the descrip on NB's site didn't really indicate this....but do I need to boil it first, or can I just shoot it on in? Thanks. It's not too out of whack, no...but in case it's too sweet, I'd like to at least try and correct it a bit. Who knows, it may turn out great on...

    Bittering after fermentation?

Long story short, the last beer I brewed ended up with gravity potentially outshining the IBUS (1.075/69 IBUS), and I am wondering....can/should I do anything about it? Could I add some hop extract (hop shot) after fermentation? Or should I try and get the beer to dry out a bit, pushing the FG...

    Recipe feedback, please?

Yeah, I should have bought some Munich the last time I was at Midwest, but I didn't think to. I've been happy using Vienna in my IPA's as well. Thanks for the input. :)

    Recipe feedback, please?

Thanks, I like the look of that. Do you think the Crystal/Vienna is sufficient? Or should I can Vienna and use more base malt?

    Recipe feedback, please?

Me and a barkeeper friend are starting an informal (for now) homebrew club, and tomorrow I'll be doing a brew to show people how it's done. Yeah, I am kind of nervous....but I'll make it. HERE is the recipe I was thinking of going with. What do you guys think? Be honest....I won't cry. :)...

Specialty IPA: Rye IPA Crimson Rye IPA

Brewed it over the weekend. It looks and smells wonderful so far. I'm kind of burned out on making 'regular' IPAs, so this may be a regular brew for me. Thanks for posting the recipe! Oh, and for the record...I love Founder's, but I wish they'd use pry-off caps! :D

American Pale Ale Cascades / Orange Pale Ale

Mine took a few weeks in the keg to balance out, but it is officially tasty as hell. I'm pretty good at keeping my beers clear, but for some reason this one's pretty cloudy. I don't mind, though.

Specialty IPA: Rye IPA Crimson Rye IPA

I am going to make this on Monday. I'm a big fan of Founders Red's Rye PA. Is this anything similar? Either way, it sounds fabulous.

    Show us your Kegerator

Here's mine. The Danby model, used a two tap tower from KC, added the $15 drip tray from Bar Products, and some Libbey pilsner glasses.

    Microbrew Recommendations

Founder's Red's RyePA. That'll get them puckered up! So tasty.

    KegConnection.com

Ordered a two tap tower with Perlicks. It arrived Monday, but one of the couplers was bent to the point where I couldn't attach the faucet. It obviously came that way from the factory, since the packaging was fine. Shot them an email with a pic of the damage, and I received a call the next day...

    What's comparable to Oberon yeast?

I am NOT enjoying my sixer of Oberon at all this year.....a few years back, I'd destroy that stuff....lately it's not been my cup of tea. Still love their 3HA and Hopslam, though!

    hopsdirect.com

For those looking into Foodsavers...if you have a KOHL'S nearby, keep an eye out on their sales. I got mine at 70% off (was $120, I paid just under $40). I've seen them on sale a few times since then.

    Tower disassembly help/advice?

I recently ordered a two-tap tower with Perlicks. It arrived yesterday, so I got to work getting ready to get the kegerator in order. I soon noticed that I wasn't able to screw on one of the taps to the coupler. Soon I realized it was because the coupler was bent! I assume it came this way from...

    Show us your Kegerator

I was hoping to post in this thread tonight with a picture, but instead my project is put on hold due to a bent up tower coupler. Jeez. I barely got the thing unwrapped and it's already going back. :(

    Recommended minifridge for kegerator?

I ordered mine Sunday night, and it arrived today. $20 shipping. I am pleased. I can get working on the door while I wait for my tower to arrive. Borrowed a 2.5" drill saw bit from work, so I should be able to knock this out pretty quickly.

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

I have one batch in keg carbing, and another in bottles. This stuff is crystal clear. I can't wait to try it!

I'm in Beer Heaven!!!!!!! 6 taps....

Can I steal your idea? One of my other mental illne....I mean, hobbies is collecting old Schwinns. I could rig up something cool! Or maybe I've finally found a good use for my Bob and Doug McKenzie figurines!

Looking to make kegerator from mini refrigerator

I just kicked down for the Danby. My current kegerator is working ok, but I think it's working harder than it should to keep the temperature.....and I can only fit one keg in it. I'll keep it for potentially lagering in keg or something. I ALMOST got a scratch and dent kegerator at Menards for 3...
