There's no way I'd tackle this beer without using REAL honey at or near flameout. It gives that great flavor and aroma, and it will help dry the beer out...much like how Hopslam is pretty dry for a 10% beer.

I would also think that using an o-ring on either side of the teaball screen would help keep it in place AND be a bit more forgiving on hole size? I should try one of these! Neat idea.

Howdy I bought one of those 9 gallon SS pots that AIH sells, and thought it'd be a good candidate for some winter 5 gallon electric brews while my 10g rig hibernates. The pot a little shy of 14" round, and I am curious if any of you know of a 12-13" LWD/ULWD element (a 2000w 120 is preferred)...

I thought about that, but I'd have to try and fasten the stands, too. The stands are as heavy as the tanks are, and I'd also be concerned about damage, though I assume when you buy them from a place like AgriSupply, that's how they ship them. I can ask our shipping guys and see I'd be able to...

I'd rather keep it simple and somewhat local.

I bought these tanks from a farmer late last winter. He never got to using them, and from what I can see they're brand new with only a little weathering on the stands from being in his barn for a year. I bought them with the plan to turn them into a couple of fermenters, but I haven't had a need...

I have a couple of 30 gallon tanks like this with stands That I am going to likely get rid of. I even have brass bushings and 2" ball valves to go with them. I should get some photos and info up in classifieds.

That Xoom looks great. I got the Viewpad thru work. I wouldn't pay for it, since it has the ancient 1.6 on it...though I have run 2.2 on it with some success. But Brewzor, at the end of the day, is by far the best Android beer app I've used, on tablet and phone.
