    Brewery names--what's your story?

Lazy Hammock Brewing Co. No real story behind it. I have a hard time coming up with names for things. For example... when naming my dog after I adopted him, (I lived in a fraternity house), I looked at the shelf of liquor bottles going around my room. My dog's name is Jager... Aaaaaaanyways. I...

Great beer ! From coors ???

I agree with the above post. I wasn't "wowed" at all, a decent beer (better than bud/coors/miller), but I would GLADLY take any craft brew over it. Or a Homebrew!

    Bottom of bottle sediments

Others may correct me if I'm wrong (I'm newer to brewing), but that sediment (or at least some of it) will be the yeast/yeast by-products from when the beer was carbonated in the bottle. A lot of craft brews that I've had (professionals I'm talking about) have sediment (mostly yeast I would...

My first AG brew (first brew other than Mr. beer to be specific)

Took the first gravity reading today. At 64* it read 1.014... So according to the chart that came with my hydrometer that's about 1.016 actual gravity. Dunked the beer thief a little too far down so my sample had lots of trub in it. Pic 1: right out o the thief... Very cloudy Pic 2: after two...

What did you learn this week?

I've been learning the art of patience... I just want to bottle my first brew already!!!! I can't, cause I only put it in the fermenter Sunday night, have yet to dry hop, and more importantly haven't taken any gravity readings since before I pitched the yeast! It'll have to wait till Tuesday for...

My first AG brew (first brew other than Mr. beer to be specific)

SO I jumped in with two feet. First brew day today. 68* in Ohio in early March... couldn't pass up the opportunity. Originally I was gonna use an AG Bell's Oberon Clone recipe I found on here.... but then decided I just wanna brew something of my own (and hope its good). If its a good beer...
