    NFL Draft 2011

I can tell you by watching him all year that Fairley was insane good, and as dominate as Suh was the year before. Those two side by side with KVB is going to be crazy good.

    NFL Draft 2011

Could have been worse, they could have selected a QB that had a noodle for an arm BEFORE he had a serious injury and 3 shoulder surgery's.:drunk:

Just downed a cellared bottle of Pumpking

I am going to have to give Pumking another try. When I first had it, the only time, the first couple of sips I thought it was amazing. Then it turned on me and all I tasted was way over flavored. Too much cinnamon and all spice flavors. This year I'll give it another shot, maybe now I'll be...

    Kona Brewing Koko Brown Ale

I saw this beer on a show a couple of years back, they slow cooked ribs marinated in it, I have been wanting to try it for a while. Interested in hearing how it turns out.

Seriously? Give me a break with the hops already.

Love the hot sauce analogy. I have only found a couple of beer's I thought weren't good and they added hops to hide it. I have seen numerous "Super Hoppy" that were way too sweet to enjoy. I enjoy a well balanced beer as much as anyone. However, when it's done right a super hoppy beer, just like...

Trying some new IPA's. What do I have here?

The last time I had Hercules it was way too sweet for my taste, which is weird because it had been a favorite of mine until then. Not sure if I got a bad batch or what.

    Austin Home Brew $20 kits??

I got the IPA kit, but tweaked it a little. I added the cascade, with 5min left instead of dry hopping with it. I bought 2 oz of citra to dry hop and split the 5 gallons in half into 2 separate secondaries and added some oak chips soaked with spiced rum along with an ounce of the citra to one...

    Kits

Hey guys I was wondering how often you make pre-packaged kits as opposed to coming up with your own recipe? I'll be brewing my 5th batch this weekend 2 are recipe's I put together and 3 are kits, Austin's $20 deal was too good to pass up. I was just curious what ratio for other people was. Thanks

:) learned the lesson regarding blowoff tubes..

Had this happen to my batch of IIPA a couple of weeks ago, in a 6.5 gallon carboy. So Sun when I brewed my blonde I used a blow-off tube, yesterday morning it was active but nothing special, then yesterday afternoon when I checked it it went crazy. Good thing I kept the blow-off tube in.

Worst Commercial Beer You've Ever Had?

Duchesse De Bourgogne, tasted like pure vinagre. May have been a bad bottle, I've been to get another one to see but can't bring myself to get another one.
