    Can't get real hop flavor

No. The fermenter always looks darker than a glass of beer will. Also oxidation happens after fermentation and that has barely started, if at all.

    Which air fryer?

Just get the biggest one you can. My complaint is I can’t get a whole bag of tots in mine. You don’t need any of the control features like an instant pot. Mine is analog and it works just fine.

Meet Thing 1. A 5Kw Induction All In One...

Most of his complaints about the GF are kinda comical: Like Oh, look how high you have to lift it when it is up on this counter. Or Oh, you have to deal with this hardware to assemble the overflow pipe. Or , if you don't assemble the drain right it won't work properly. Duh. And I think he...

    Sanke coupler

If you don’t use duotight there are also conversion adapters like that for ball locks. You need a gas one and a beer one. https://www.morebeer.com/products/sanke-ball-lock-adapter-gas-side.html

    Dual 240v Controller?

Blichman makes a relay unit that connects with the commander for this purpose. About $100.

    Sparging

Need more information about how you are brewing. What equipment do you use? I use a Robobrew and at mash out, I slowly rinse the grain with about 1 1/2 - 2 gallons of 170 degree water. This gets the last of sugar out of the grain and increases the volume of water for the boil. It's that...

Why not just start with all grain?

Money. Extract is a lot cheaper to try before dumping a few hundred in AG equipment.

    IC tubing size...length vs diameter 1/4, 3/8 ?

Anyone have a source for a good Y fitting to make a dual run chiller? Either 3/8 or 1/4. All I find are cheap Chinese pieces that look pressed or something. I can sweat copper but don’t want to fab something and don’t want to do it on the hose.

Can I fit 4 sixtels in this freezer?

I put these on an existing sanke I had when I converted to EVA and duotight. https://www.morebeer.com/products/duotight-pushin-fitting-8-mm-516-58-fpt.html

    Chilling Wort Recommendations

Rufus, think of it this way. You have two pots of hot wort. The first one you sit on a block of ice. (simulates wort running through the ice) The second you sit in a very large bath of 33 degree water. (simulates ice water in the wort) Which one cools to 80 faster? The one sitting on ice...

    Chilling Wort Recommendations

That was my original plan. I bought the equipment used and the pump was the only part I didn't test before I brewed this batch. I had to think fast and thought this was a great solution, I've used it ever since. Other than the difference in cleaning, are there any downsides to it? Side...

    Chilling Wort Recommendations

Using the integrated pump in my Robobrew, I send my wort through the IC, which is sitting in 20lbs of ice. Takes 15 minutes for a 5 gallon batch, but would be faster with a better pump I'm sure. Less water used and I have a freezer that makes ice crazy fast all week between brews.

How do I hook up an IC that does not have hose attachments on both ends?

Because you don't need to hook up the drain end to a hose to dump the water. Some folks just let it drain into the sink or floor drain, no additional hose necessary. If you need to hook up another hose to cover a long distance or something, you can find the adapter at most hardware stores.

Pondering moving brewing operations outdoors - suggestions?

Are you planning to go all grain or stick with extract? If you are going all grain there are lots of options, I like electric all in ones. If you continue with extract there are things you can do to make it faster with your current setup. First, only use 2 gallons of water to steep your...
