I did this last night with a 1L soda bottle of my IPA that had way too much leftover trub to bother carbing with my carbonator cap. I removed probably about 1/3 of the water by freezing (pulling it out and shaking it every 20 minutes once it started to form crystals) and then running it...

From the same seller? Again... at first glance this one looks to be the 220V version, but a few times throughout the page it says 110V... I might send a quick email just to make sure now... I can't wait for temp control!

It's posted a few times on the page tha despite the documentation, they are selling the 110V version. I was a bit nervous myself after hitting order and re-reading all those notes about 220V, butttt... My hopes are high... I'll let everyone know! Thanks for looking out, though!

I know it's a bit on the lazy side of things for me, but as the previous poster said: this thread is freaking huge, and after scrolling through about 30 or 40 pages... I haven't seen exactly this unit...

I voted other... but really I meant 'both' I use starsan for most of my sanitizing, but keep a full bottle of iodophor around to switch it up from time to time (not to mention starch conversion testing). Iodophor was my standard for years, but I switched to using starsan after one too many...

Also.. Someone left a half-finished glass of (potentially already infected...) beer out at the homebrew shop where I work over the holiday weekend and this beauty showed up: I threw it in a sanitized old yeast vial and brought it home to grow up and see what comes of it. It makes me what else...

These are two of mine... One's a mix of lots of different bugs in 5 gallons the other is the white labs Belgian sour mix I in about a half gallon of the same wort. Both are about 6 or so months in the fermenters. The sour blend looks thick and nasty... Not like mold... But anything's possible I...

I've got my first sour going now...the only room in the house I can keep good control of the temperature in is my bedroom...with all the sulfur coming off of it it smells like someone's been farting...a lot... can't wait till the pellicle forms. these (okay... most of these) are beautiful...
