What I did for/with Mead today

Do you use a regulator ?

Looking for specific recipes and advice.

Where you haven't made anything in 6 years, I would suggest making a one gallon batch in a two gallon food grade bucket, (picture of the label that should be on the bucket attatched)available @ both Home Depot or Lowes, (ironically in the paint section). Raw honey is expensive, too...

Did I accidentally restart a stuck ferment? And what now? Easy Session Mead.

So, just to be clear, you did  not stabilize with potassium metabisulfate and potassium sorbate? Not that it should make a difference with unfermentable sugars, but it really is a good practice to get into, especially if backsweetening. Pasteurization is an option if you want to remain...

Sounds like it's just degassing to me.

    Bray's One Month Mead

All of my meads are still (uncarbonated) but, @loveofrose is the BOMM master (creator) & could probably answer any questions more accurately. I do know there has to be viable yeast left for bottle carbonation to occur. If you didn't stabilize with potassium metabisulfate and potassium...

    Bray's One Month Mead

In 6 months the honey will make a big comeback & give you some perceived sweetness vs. backsweetening.

Stabilization and yeast tolerance - an anecdotal tale

I use my sous vide machine to decrystalize as well. I set it for 95°F & make certain to stir it really good daily. It will decrystalize a lot faster the more you move it around. Fully crystallized, I will run it until it's completely fluid again, sometime it could take over a week. I hope...

    Dry Hopping Mead?

Well, they're cheap enough that if you're too concerned about over packing them, you can use more than one bag to achieve your results. It's easier (for me) to use 2 or 3 of these type bags if your need calls for it than it is to use a bigger Reusable bag & have to clean it out.

    Dry Hopping Mead?

I use these for spice additions, as well. Cheap enough to just toss when removed & they can be cinched down pretty tight to keep the hops from escaping. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z82NVJ7?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

    Marshmallow Bochet Experiment

I tried the Christmas mead. VERY nice! Perfectly balanced & the perfect sweetness. Well done. 👏👏 I haven't had the chance to try the others yet, but hopefully this weekend I'll have an opportunity.
