Hell ya. I always have a spray bottle of Starsan on brewdays so I use that. One less thing I need to worry about.

If you want a consistent carb level from bottle to bottle and are concerned about sanitization then I would highly recommend adding "x" amount of sugar to a few cups of water, boil it for 10-15 min then add to your bottling bucket. Then rack the beer to the bottling bucket.

This was my first thought as well. 34F is really low especially if you don't have a fan in the fridge. If its not frozen then you probably have a poppet issue or your CO2 tank is empty.

I would cold crash it for more than a day. Personally, I always cold crash for about a week to get it crystal clear. It's nice to have as little sediment in the bottles as possible.

If you don't have a sight glass on your kettle, how do you know the volume? I'm just curious because I have a sight glass that is so dirty that I can barely see the volume any more. What are the alternatives? A stick with notches?
