    No, no ability to purge it. Maybe I'll just leave it for a week and then transfer to a 5.5 or 6 gallon one when it opens.

    So i racked my bock today to start the lagering process but all i had free was a 6.5 gallon carboy. Should i be concerned about oxidation with sitting 5 gallons of beer in a 6.5 gallon carboy for 4-6 weeks?

    I had no reason to panic, poured my first pint of the batch last night and man is it great. When I brew this again i don't even think I'll drop the hop bitterness just gunna add a bit of crystal 60 and call it a recipe.
