I was going to add a lot of extra pumpkin to it and I thought I read somewhere that it takes longer to mellow out because of it. My idea was for it to be really good come fall. Does it not need that much time?
It's worth the wait. It's a tasty beer. Is the pumpkin ale you made through them as well? I was going to order that one from them next week to brew in a couple weeks, but due to the delayed shipping, I might just go ahead and order today.
If you drink 6 per week, your last 6 pack will be aged 2 months. It's your first brew, enjoy it now and see for yourself how the aging process transforms your beer. No reason to wait any longer if it tastes good now.
Which piece did you attach it to? One of the green pieces? Or did you remove that and attach it directly to the black piece? And how did you thread it yourself? Just used force?
Well after finally making the plunge to kegging, I'm off to a bad start.
On topic: I bought all the parts necessary for this a while back as I was acquiring all my keg parts and haven't tried assembling until now. I guess I should have searched further because I use pin lock kegs and purchased...
