    What did you get from your LHBS today?

    30 pounds of Maris Otter and some specialty grains. 4+ ounces of hops. Gonna be making an Imperial Stout Sunday with a friend.

    Thanks for the information. I didn't know that 170* was an acceptable temperature for Speidel.

    Are you sure you want to pour boiling water into the Speidel? I think the maximum temperature for HDPE is around 150*. Just my passing thought.

    Just my opinion----but, any amount of peat smoked malt is too much. Consider beechwood or cherrywood smoked malt instead.

    I recently bought one of these: https://www.cool-brewing.com/products/coolbrewcorny-5g-3-0-bundle Our Homebrew club had a pouring at a local Oktoberfest and it kept my keg cold in the Florida heat for the four hours we were at the event.
