    Kegging Options for a tailgate

Well - not exactly a tailgate, but the same concept. My Dad is retiring at the end of April and we (my brothers, family, etc) are throwing him a surprise retirement party/crawfish boil in Houston. I made a beer for the event and planned on kegging it since I was limited on time when I made...

What is the best Homebrew Supply Site

AHS all the way. I have the privelage of living relatively close to Austin, and I visit "often" - their operation is top notch for sure.

    Fruit Extract

Check this out: http://www.austinhomebrew.com/product_info.php?cPath=178_21_74&products_id=480 I ordered Blueberry from them recently is the only reason I know that little write up exists. I had that same question before I went to buy that flavoring.

What music do you listen to while brewing?

I get down on Pandora too. It really depends on my mood, but it typically revolves around Led Zeppelin. In fact, I have created a "brew playlist" on my iPhone that has a lot of LZ, The Doors, Bob Marley, etc. Music and brewing go hand in hand IMO.

    American IPA All Amarillo IPA

I made this over the weekend. It is happily fermenting away as I type this. My pops is retiring at the end of April and we are throwing him a giant crawfish boil in which this beer should pair nicely. I think I am going to keg it. I am excited to try it.

    Commercial Rye Beer?

I was going to say the same thing. I had it last weekend and it was awesome.

    bulk hops

Nice! I did the same thing a few months ago and it has paid for itself. I did the math on what I was spending at my LHBS for hops vs buying in bulk and I was getting raped. The reason I say that it is paid for itself is bc it has literally paid for itself. I sell hops to my friends that...

    home brewing passes oklahoma house

KC10Chief, are you in the military or oil? I am from Houston originally but went to HS (Service HS) in Anchorage, and now reside in Edmond, OK. My dad was/is in the oil industry so that explains all that...but, how do you like Anchorage? I miss it a lot. There are 2 shops in the OKC area...

    Hopfather IIPA

Oh, and btw - I brewed it today, twice. I made a 10 gal batch and my buddy came over later in the day and we brewed another 5 gal batch. It smelled incredible. At one point at flame out I added 10 oz of hops. I feel like I have hop resin lining my nostrils. As I was getting down on this...

    Hopfather IIPA

I am brewing the recipe for this beast of a beer from the Extreme Brewing book this weekend. It's been a while since I brewed so I am going to do a 10 gal batch. I am really looking forward to smelling all of those delicious hops once they are in the boil. As stupid of a question as this...
