HELLO FROM VA (a little late)

    Welcome from Lynchburg!

    It's Friday...who's brewing this weekend?

Yup, I guess you could say its the Boston Ale. It's done with Amber DME, dry ale yeast, halletauer and tettnang. It's one of the first recipes I did when I started brewing many moons ago and has been my go to ever since. I pulled a few draws off the keg last night and got a funny yeasty...

    It's Friday...who's brewing this weekend?

I was up at the crack of dawn on Saturday. I brewed a dry stout, kegged my Sam Adams clone, dry hopped my IPA and racked to secondary, and cleaned off my new immersion chiller.

    It's Friday...who's brewing this weekend?

If I can drag my ass out of bed early enough and its not too cold, I'm going to bang out a stout and a brown ale Saturday morning.

I'm this close to giving up. Seriously.

    Kegerator graphics

I knew a guy that ran an organic store and he had this old crappy fridge (think rounded corners) that he had painted up with one of those faux finishing kits (Fleck Stone, I think he said) to make it look like a big ass piece of granite. It fit right in to his store's "motif". I thought it...

Corny kegs - how long can they sit before you clean out an empty keg?

I'm somewhat new to kegging (ball lock cornies) and haven't really run into this yet. When I finish a keg, it's usually no big deal to drain the pressure, open it up and give it a quick rinse. I do a thorough cleaning just prior to refilling. Here's the sitch. I'm out of town for a few...

    Upgrading, is it worth it?

I love brewing with my turkey fryer on the back patio. If there's ever a boilover - no worries, I just hose down the patio when I'm done. No messy stove cleanup apologizing to the wife for the mess. You can get an RSS feed for your local Craigslist and add it to your Firefox browser. It will...
