    Consecration kit from MoreBeer

I would venture to guess that you didn't age it nearly long enough if it is already kegged. I plan to age my kit 12-24 months (depending on taste).

    hops growing in Michigan...

Successfully grew Cascade, Zues, Centennial and Chinook in Michigan this year(in order of how well they did). I highly recommend Great Lakes Hops. They sell you a crown (aka plant) rather than a rhizome (aka root cutting). Get them planted in full sun with rich well drained soil. Keep the...

    Goose Island Sofie Clone

Side by side: Fresh kegged homebrew v. 2011 GI Sofie The homebrew is much more cloudy, touch more orange in color that make become less evident once it clears up. The nose is very similar. Sofie is more clean in the nose and taste. The homebrew has more brett character, barnyard lemon and...

3 FLoyds Zombie Dust attempt. Help/info requested

Just tasted my Zombie Dust Clone. My god, the nose on this beer is so amazing (with 9.25 ounces of Citra it better be). It has only been one week since I kegged it and is not fully carbed yet. It is going to take a **** ton of will power to stay away from this one for another week. Thanks for...

How do YOU use Wet Hops?

I did a 6 oz FWH and then put in 26 more ounces between 15 min and flamout. It turned out great! Next year I will bitter with .5 ounce magnum pellets and thrown all 32 oz in the last 15 min. These were a combo of homegrown wet cascade, centennial, chinook and zues.

    Rye IPA

In addition to other comments I would add a touch of caraffa 3 or midnight wheat to get your color up around 13 SRM.

    Keg Hopping Question

After fermentation, I cold crashed my IPA and racked it on to 4 oz of hops in the keg. I am not happy with the aroma and I think it is because the beer was dry hophed at cold temps. I was thinking about bringing the keg inside and letting it warm up into the mid 6o's for three days or so. My...
