    I didn't want to open it up and check the hydrometer, so I just let it wait. When I came home today, I could see tiny bubbles. I'm very happy. So 40-44 hours for it to show signs of life. I'm so glad that I didn't pitch it directly into the wort.

    Hi, I'm making a starter with this yeast and it hasn't started fermenting in the first 24 hours. Should I be worried? More info: The best by date was two days before I pitched the starter. My house is under 65 degrees. I used 1/2 cup DME in 2 cups of water (I'm making a 1/2 batch). Thanks!
