    Show us your Kegerator

Thanks, I am going to give it a shot. It is not the prettiest keezer, but it will be functional.

    Show us your Kegerator

Did you rebuild? Did it just break free? I am trying to decide if I need to reinforce it or just leave it as is? Thanks

What do you love/hate about your LHBS??

Continued from last post. It is "stump her, not stomp her". Only con is some things are pricey, but with a little conversation I don't mind paying a little more. Way to go "Brew Shop."

What do you love/hate about your LHBS??

I love my LHBS! Pros: always a social spot, you can talk technique, recipies, or equipment. The owner/employees are all very knowledgable and helpful. You can buy you grains by the pound or whatever weight and she will mill it. The group has brew day for AG one weekend a month. I have never...

Clear beer towards end of keg?

I really had no idea. I am building a keezer and the question just made me think about temp difference from top to bottom. I think I will now go install a fan. I have not installed the collar, but I did notice the longer the keg sat, the clearer the beer. Good luck.

    What are you drinking now?

    "Wierdo's Witbier". Mmmmmmm, tasty.

Clear beer towards end of keg?

I hope this doesn't sound too stupid, but, is it colder at the bottom of the keezer? Could that create a clearer beer towards the bottom?

What I did for beer today

Mudding and sanding is made for beer drinking.... I think that it is all right to have a brew while painting. Hmmm. Sound like you won all the way around. Enjoy

What I did for beer today

Kegged my Chimay Blue Label Clone, cleaned the carboy. Measured my chest freezer for the 13th time so I can buy wood this weekend. Now, I have a Belgium Ale, a Wit Beer and my Chimay clone on tap. nothing in the Fermentor! Hmmm? What to brew next?

What I did for beer today

Completed a Witbeir from a kit, got it in the Fermentor. Cleaned the kitchen so the wife won't complain. Now putting together my shopping list for a cream ale, maybe something with pumpkin?

    Head?

Hahahaaha! Glad I am not the only one. Felt stupid as hell. I did take a pull tonight after work, nice head and much tastier!

    Head?

Ok, found my problem. Step one, ensure the co2 bottle is on, don't just use the in line valve! Thanks everyone! Got really excited, didn't turn on the co2 bottle. It's the little things.

    Head?

I kegged the beer last Sun. After filling, I purged the keg. I put in 30 psi of co2, rolled the keg on the floor for about 15 min, that was not as fun to do as you would think. I then put it in the fridge for 5 days. Yesterday I turned on the co2, but had to work so I didn't pull any beer...

    Head?

How do you make beer with a good head? I just finished a Belgian Ale, force carbonated and still no head. I made sure I had a clean glass, no head? I am using 7 psi as a serving co2 pressure at 40 deg f. No head. The beer tastes good so I will drink it anyway, but a little foam would be good.

Time to stop lurking about and make some beer

I finally pulled a glass of this beer, it is very tasty, but? It has not cleared very well and there is no head. I tried to force carbonate at 30 psi then dropped the pressure to about 7 psi. I waited 6 days before drinking. The beer seems to have carbonated but no head, the beer is...
