    I purchased a jetting tools that attaches to a fawcett. When pushed down the water sprays up. I can't think of the name but it was only $8, is great for clean lines, bottles, carboys......everything.

    How clear is clear

    Hey Y'all, I presently watch my secondary sit quietly and become a light brown colour. My question is when is clear, clear enough to bottle? It stopped bubbling last Saturday and I was going to bottle this weekend, since it has sat for almost one week.

    My batch has been in the carboy since Monday and had pretty much stopped bubbling. The airlock really isn't moving at all. My tempurature looks good at 22 celcius. I am wondering about the 1/2 inch of sediment in the bottom. should I move the batch a third time or just leave it be...

    People, I'm still pretty new to this site and to brewing in general. But I've got a degree in Chemistry and SteveT is right if you boil beer or any type of achohol the Ethanol will vaporize early (boiling point of 78 C), leaving you with just a bunch of water with flavour. The way it works...

    Air Locks

    Just wondering about people opinion of air locks. The type I have is basically a stopper with a plastic tube and then an upside down cup over the tube and completely surround by a cylinder. Does this type work well, or should I purchase a different type. Thanks,

    You could be right, but that's what the meter said. Anyway, on another note, I can see bubbles rising to the liquid surface in the carboy!!

    OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of my foam was gone and there were very small bubbles come to the surface in my fermenting bucket. So with some discussion with a friend at work, I transferred the liquid to the carboy and put an airlock on it. The airlock is not yet bubbling like I thought it...
