    Is there a large differance in adding the extract to the primary and not the secondary? I was looking to do the same recipe for my next batch and I won't have an extra Ale pale or Carboy to use for a secondary.

    Its a Irish Red from Midwest. Gotta say that the swamp bucket trick is the JAM! Its 95 degrees outside in South Florida but my bathtube water is 60 degrees and the Ale Pale is 65-68. Can't beat that for a free way to cool your Brew!

    So after plenty of noob mistakes and feeling nervous all day, when I got home from work the Air lock was bubbling away! Just wanted to say thank you all for the help. Now I just need to sit back, relax and I'll hopefully be enjoying some good HB soon!

    Have you noticed an increase on your electric bill when adding another fridge. I've seen some cheap old fridges around but thought it would spike my electricity cost.
