3/8" Immersion chiller (Lancaster Co. PA)

Some pics: Disgrace, your first in line locally, then cbraun. Coff: If neither of them buy it, we might be able to work something shipping wise. Would probably be less expensive then wasting the gas.

    beer won't bottle carb...

Well, it was, as I am currently collecting the parts to convert an old chest freezer my dad had into a kegerator. That has been one of the main influences (besides actually getting a free chest freezer). It was boiled and added to the beer in the bottling bucket.

    beer won't bottle carb...

Hey guys, brewed an awesome beer a few months ago (double IPA, 10.5% ABV, partial mash), and it was hands out my best beer I created. However, it's been over 2 months since bottling (bottled 7/22), and it hasn't carbed up yet. I put the bottles in a hotter room (around 76*), laid the bottles...

I'll try to get some pics today or tomorrow. I'd have to think about Philly. Even halfway is going to be close to an hour of driving.

3/8" Immersion chiller (Lancaster Co. PA)

I have a 3/8" by about 23 foot (screwed up the end a bit while bending it) immersion chiller for sale. It has a garden hose fitting on one end, and no fitting on the other. Garden hose fitting is soldered on. I never used it (was an extra I was able to make). Looking for a local sale. 30...

    Feeler: 10gal Corny Kegs

I'd like to see some pictures but I'm very interested and fairly local. Seem like a great idea for a house staple that goes fast. Do you have the dimensions of the kegs (mainly height)? Have you used them since buying? Do they hold pressure? Waiting eagerly for pics. :rockin: -Dave

    Kegerator

Sent another. When you say it leaked...you mean something just like spilled beer, or major like a cooling line broke?

Also interested in the aeration kit, co2 bottle (5lb) and regulators if you decide to ship.

co2 regulator options (for a chest freezer)

Hey guys. I recently scored a chest freezer that my parents decided to get rid of (it's about 9cu/ft and will hold 6 kegs plus a 5/10 lb co2 bottle. I was wondering what the best/most practical way was for the gas distribution. I plan on having a soda keg, as well as 3 taps for beer. I also...

    Mash tun size...

Yeah I read that....I guess I was just worried about having it always filled to the brim and worry about it spilling out while stirring. Guess that shouldn't be an issue!

    Mash tun size...

Here's the question guys. Finally decided to pull the trigger and go all grain, and in doing so decided to look at coolers for it. I was going to go with a 36qt Coleman Xtreme, but after looking at one, I'm not so sure...it seems tiny! So, here's my question, for those with coolers in the...

Awesome bar and kegerator set-up in Lancaster, PA

Very nice bar, but after looking at it, it won't fit the layout of my basement quite right. Good luck on the sale. I know how much butcher block can go for, so thats a steal at that price. :rockin::rockin:

    Big IIPA Fermentation Time

I just did a big IIPA (1.096) and used something similar in hops (10oz for a 3 gal batch). It's delicious. It was in the primary for 3 weeks. It was done fermenting after the 2nd week, but I let it clear another week. From what I gathered, its better to not let an IIPA age too long as you'll...

dry hopping with 3 different hops...a few ?'s

Thanks again guys! Just dry-hopped with an ounce each of Amarillo, Citra and Simcoe! Also, my OG was 1.096 (temp corrected) and my final gravity was 1.018. I calculate that to be 80% attentuation, right? If so, not bad for forgetting to make a starter and only using a single vial of WLP001...

dry hopping with 3 different hops...a few ?'s

Alright, thanks for the help guys. I'll be changing it up and doing: 1oz Amarillo, 1oz Citra, 1oz Simcoe on day 16, bottle on day 23 and let them condition for a few months. I read that big beers need more time in the primary and secondary, but I don't have a secondary. Would only leaving...
