    Reading the Mash Profiles

I have not yet ventured into all grain brewing but have been reading and watching a lot. I downloaded iBrewMaster and BeerSmith for my iPad and understand it for the most part. What I can't seem to figure out is them any mash profiles. Can anybody explain the different mash profiles for...

    5 Gallon Igloo Mash Tun

I'm really looking to brew an occasional 6-8% ABV IPA...can I make that happen?

    5 Gallon Igloo Mash Tun

I'm sure everyone here has seen this thread a million times but as much as I search I'm still not confident. I just converted a 5 gallon Igloo cooler over and I'd love to use it for my all grain batches. I'm not one who requires a lot of end product and I'm not kegging at this point but I...

    First Timer

Great advice everyone, thanks! Last night I converted my 5 gallon igloo cooler into a mash tun which I know is small but I can always upgrade (besides if I want to brew with a higher OG I'll make my batches smaller). I've also been looking at a pretty good deal on a 32 quart pot...big enough...

    First Timer

I have "How to Brew" so that's a good start. I also have a cylinder igloo cooler and have seen video and parts lists for the conversion. I guess all I need is a larger boil kettle with a ball valve and the propane burner. Thanks!

    First Timer

I've been an extract brewer for about 2 years now and am taking a class this winter from a local nano-brewery on all grain brewing. I thought I'd get a head start on what I'm going to need equipment wise and space requirements. What are my entry costs? Can I do it in my basement? I live in...

    EZ Cap Bottles

I hope that's not the case. I've only used them twice. I've replaced the rubber and hopefully that wasn't a mistake. I will only use a few this next time and see what happens.

That's the one. Thanks, I'm hoping to get into all grain after being only extract so far and BIAB might be the way to get started.

    EZ Cap Bottles

I don't bottle totally in the ez cap bottles, mostly in pry off bottles with a capper (which all carbonate) but I like the ez cap bottles for my own stash. The last brew I left the ones that seemed uncarbonated in the bottles for a longer time and still no luck. It's almost 50/50 (six...

I actually live in East Irondequoit (via Fairport) and I run White Haven in Pittsford so that's where the name comes in. Thought I'd combine my job and my brewing location.

    EZ Cap Bottles

I've used my ez cap bottles for my first two brews and only about half of them carbonate. The rubber is only two brews old and is cleaned and sanitized each time. Someone told me to use a little Keg Lube around the rubber next time. Any other tips?

Hello from Upstate NY! I've just begun home-brewing and have been trying to find time, in between a new baby, to brew. I've officially brewed two beers and am in the middle of my third. I've only used extract kits so far but look forward to learning more and more and expanding my brewing...
