For the Evabarrier & DuoTight folks

Is it possible to re-zero the gauges? I was pretty careful removing and re-installing them but one reads ~10 psi at rest. Did I fubar it?

For the Evabarrier & DuoTight folks

Question for the Duotight brain trust; can the gauges in the Duotight regulators be flipped 180 degrees? I just built a gas regulator board for my Kegerator and the gauges are upside down I want to flip them. I know you can change the gauges from 0-60 to 15, 30, 150 psi. Anyone flipped them? Thanks

What came in the mail for you today?

Finally got my Kegland Rapt Pill Hydrometer. Not easy to come by in the US. Had to go to AliExpress. Now to play with my new toy before next brew.

    Round Silicone Mat

I bought this one from SS Brewtech and love it. It's bigger than my Spike 15 gal (they sell it for their 20 gal). The price is good at ~$21.95 and they don't gouge you on the shipping ~$5.00. jw BTW my kettle is 16" diameter

What I did for beer today

Brewing (if that's the correct term) a yeast starter for the DIPA I'm brewing tomorrow. Also first time entering a recipe in BrewFather "Terpene Dream DIPA", yes it's a kit although my first all grain. Next brew will be one of David Heath's recipes either "Old School West Coast IPA" or "Verdant...

Leaky co2, do you use duotight connectors on the gas side?

I can say I definitely have NOT been doing this. And it could be a source of my issues. But I will not discount anything else.

Leaky co2, do you use duotight connectors on the gas side?

OK all good stuff. I don't have any beer in my kegs currently :-( But have a starter fermenting now and plan to brew on Friday, on my new Brew Hardware Premium recirculating eBIAB system :-) can't wait. While beer is fermenting I'll put all the advice offered into action. Thanks, John

Leaky co2, do you use duotight connectors on the gas side?

Hmmm... I didn't know that I don't open it all the way. Something to think about.

Leaky co2, do you use duotight connectors on the gas side?

I have a new Komos/Kegland kegerator, my first so I'm learning. In the last month I've gone through two 5# Co2 bottles. After the first I went through all the connector making sure the EVAbarrier tubing was cut straight, then making sure to use keg lube on everything, bought a new bottle and...

What came in the mail for you today?

I couldn't wait to assemble everything, so now I have a new system with no 240v 30 amp circuit to plug it into. By next week I'll decide what to brew and have the ingredients to give it a try. I'm sure there will be a learning curve. I opted for the wall mount for the Brew Commander as you can...

What came in the mail for you today?

Today UPS delivered my Brew Hardware premium recirculating 15 gal eBIAB system w/ Blickmann Brew commander controller. I can't wait to brew with it. But I still don't have my 240v circuit installed in my garage/brew space. Electrician has some crew out with covid probably next week. So today...

    What are you drinking now?

My Fresh Squeezed clone I bumped up wit a bit more DME and corn sugar, it’s ~9% and tasty, reminiscent of Drakes Denoginizer. Potent for sure. Just finished a 50 mile bike ride and invited my mates to sample it👍 From all. Now I’m buzzed in the mid afternoon. I only drink from this glass on days...

How do you know "how much is left in the keg"?

OK up front I'm new to kegging but it didn't take me long to think "how much is in the keg"? I'm thinking weigh an empty keg, weigh the partial, do some math on weight of beer and determine how much is left in the keg. How do you do it? Thanks for any better way, John

    What are you drinking now?

I've had tinnitus for years, learn to ignore it. I have hearing loss too. that's what wives are for "what'd they say". I tried hearing aids, couldn't be bothered with them. Give me another beer.
