Ok I've installed the new firmware and the first thing that I've noticed is that the version is now set to v1.0.1! For the rest everything looks ok. I will check if the reporting to brewfather has changed later and keep you posted.

sorry for the late reply. Yes I think that it would be better if the "Ambient Temp' report to Brewfather as "Room Temp" then it is also the same as marked on the shield.

I've already have 3 brewbubbles that are working perfectly with my solution and I've added a pictures with the dimensions of the shrink tape and the hole. To fix it I used a small bit of strong glue. and I used this to make the hole:

I've tried that and for me it did not work. I think that there need to be a small space between the optical and the whole in the coverage. Even when I shrinked the heat shrink tube that I've used it had less result. In the meantime I've made a third one the same way as the others and it worked...

I was planning to build a third brewbubble so I think I'll try this new version of your bracket this time and I'll keep you posted.

Just FYI Brewbubbles is working great now! A Peak of more then 419.6 BPM is not bad.

OK thanks for the info! I'm also using the iSpindle so I've already got the temp of my beer. Maybe someday there will be an option to change the labels in Brewfather? Or in Brewbubbles so we can chose between room or fridge? ;)

@LBussy another small issue that I've noticed in Brewfather (I don't know if it is related to Brewbubbels or to Brewfather) but the description of the temperature is different and a bit confusing. The Ambient (Room) temperature of the Brewbubbles is Temp in Brewfather and the Vessel Temp is...

This is the location were I made a hole in my shrink tube I was able to shrink it safely with a lighter but this gave me less result, I think its because the hole came closer to the emitter so that the focus changed. The best result for me is just by sliding the tube (with a max 1 mm hole at...

Yes a bit like the Nintendo Zapper gun did. Thanks to @ChrisThomas I got it working for me as well. I was already thinking about giving up this project. My next brew will be in a few days so I can't wait to see it in real action.

Or maybe just using some black tape with a very small hole can work as well. I will try this tomorrow. And I used pure water in my test!

@ChrisThomas You are great! But I think that I might have a must easier solution. I used a piece of black shrinking tube and made a very small hole in it and then slide it over one side and now finally it is counting bubbles! I made some small movies and this is a picture of my solution...

Sorry I could find any green coloring in my shop so I can't test this.

I've also noticed that when you switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius it doesn't show you directly the correct temperature in °C but it counts down slowly to the correct temperature (or it take the average).
