    Dark ale fermenting temps

Another thing is an ice bath. Use this to cool your wort. Or invest in a wort chiller. You want to cool the wort as fast as possible so there is as little contact with the air as possible. Letting it sit out and cool for eight hours is wayyyyyy too long! You may even experience an off flavor...

    roasted sweet red pepper beer?

A brewery by me does a pepper beer. Not sure what type they use, but its tasty. I would say make a simple blonde ale and add the roasted peppers to your secondary. Let it sit for a week and sample it

How long to keep raspberries in secondary?

I made a strawberry blonde that I had rave reviews about. It sat in secondary on the fruit for a week. I did purée the fruit tho, so not sure if whole fruit would take longer. Than it sat in the bottle for three weeks before opening. Great flavor. Not over powering at all

    Dry Hopping Help

I say bottle away. I went out and bought a stainless steel strainer that I use. For me, when I'm dry hopping I don't transfer at all. I strain before kegging and also before I transfer into my bottling bucket. Gets out as much of the gunk as it can

    Drinkable quick brew?

I've never tested it. Lol. I base my brewing off of feel look and tastes. I'm not professional so therefore I tweak my beers with each batch until I find something I like. I've had great results brewing with out taking readings. Guess its a little old school brewing!!

    Ipa help

I went to adventures and talked to them about this subject. I ended up putting two pounds of honey in my double ipa. Remember that adding honey will raise abv, as it is like 98% ferment able. Adding honey in the last 10-15 min of boil will work. But if your looking to have a more pronounced...
