Who has the most obscure hobby?

Now that is funny stuff. What the hell do they put in the water out there. I want those pipes. ("Hey buddy, got a light?" ............ "Yeah, sure - here ...") Not sure about him being a ****** ... I think more to the awesome side. A ****** is a guy in a pink tutu, wearing swim fins, black...

Who has the most obscure hobby?

Fermenting is the only hobby I have really ever had. And as far as an obscure hobby? ... I can't really think of anything that qualifies. I like to polka dance when I get the chance ... but that's usually at Polish or German or Polka festivals and after a few beers. Not really a "hobby"...

Who has the most obscure hobby?

I remember when the Blackout of 2003 occurred putting 55 million people in the dark, phone and cell service in many areas became spotty ... both our landline and cell systems failed at my house (in part due to overloading) ... I did notice that it was the Hams that seemed to be the last line of...

    Dogs

From page 238 ... the video about Owen and Haatchi That, and when he was asked "how do you live with the pain?" ... he said (at 4:20) "I have to man up and take it ... take it like a man." wow. The certainty, the strength in the way he said it. Blew me away. An insight that some don't...

    Ethics Thread

Though he may have been motivated by saving costs ... in your eyes he did you a good deed and that's the important part. Now, you have the obligation to pass it along. Any ethical or moral dilemma will be satisfied in this way ... I think it's an important opportunity. If you'll bear with...

Funny Things Billy-Klubb Should Say About Beer in Public

Arab traders in the 10th century could stay alive for months on long desert crossings without water by drinking a tremendous amount of beer before leaving camp and then simply drinking their own urine during the voyage ... a practice which would otherwise be toxic with just plain water or any...

    Got a deep fryer?

This cast iron dutch oven is what I need to get. Been waiting to find a used one (frugal) but this looks about right ... the 9 quart looks just dandy. http://www.webstaurantstore.com/lodge-l12do3-9-qt-pre-seasoned-cast-iron-dutch-oven-with-spiral-bail-handle/530L12DO3.html

That's an amusing bumpersticker on the VW. At first I thought it said "To All Vegans, Thanks for Nothing". I thought to myself ... "well now, that's refreshingly ahead of it's time! Isn't it?"

Is that a bowling shirt? I had one a lot like it. (where I come from bowling was a "large motor skill" in kindergarten.)

    Fun Beer Crap!

Worked in a restaurant with a guy who drank Old Mr. Boston Orange Vodka on the job :drunk:. Behind the line in the kitchen however, we *never* drank. Way too much chance of having a really bad night in the heat of battle. But we did drink once we stopped serving food and were cleaning up...

    Fun Beer Crap!

A few years back I went to a place near Sun City Center, FLA called Beef O'briens that looked like a Wendy's that had been converted into a bar. Actually it was pretty cool. I would think a fast food place that sells a decent beer and is physically set up like a Wendy's (etc) with the seating...

    I do not care for _ _ _ _ _

I definitely have no use for kanye ... oh, wait ... yes I do, people like that we grind em up and use 'em as ... uh ... oh, nevermind.

The campers were pretty cool. You could stuff a corvair "suitcase" engine in one and they'd really go. It's increidible how much old VW's are worth now, considering you once could get them for nearly a song. I had a 1967 VW Fast Back, and two Square Backs a '68 and a '71. All these vehicles...

Meat Curing Chamber Conversion for a Refrigerator

The one I had was clean but used. A friend needed a fridge tho so I gave it to him. When and if I get another one for such a project it will be another similar one. When you say "with this hobby" you've acquired a few refrigerators over the years, are you saying that you have had...

    Starting a business

A while back someone had a similar question about starting a nanobrewery. The following is the text of my answer to that person. I decided just to copy and paste it here rather than posting the link to that old thread as I usually do. That person who I originally wrote this for was from...

Meat Curing Chamber Conversion for a Refrigerator

While you can't easily use a refrigerator as a smoker due to the plastic content ... you can convert it to a curing chamber for meat. I'd been considering this project for a couple months, but just recently gave someone the refrigerator I was going to use ... anyhow, here's the info ... The...
