What did I cook this weekend.....

Merry, would you share your recipe for the bread? I'd LOVE to make that!

What did I cook this weekend.....

Everyone's stuff looks amazing! We shared with friends, they brought a small low-sugar ham, white wine, and a dozen deviled eggs (for 4 of us!); we made a 12 pound oven-roasted turkey, mashed cauliflower (we all eat on the Keto side of things), keto gravy, dressing made with real sourdough...

What did I cook this weekend.....

I've never tried it that way, only panfried in plenty of bacon grease til perfectly done, with some caramelized onions and some bacon. That looks good, I'd certainly give it a whirl!

What did I cook this weekend.....

Yesterday I cooked and canned cranberry jalapeno sauce. Got 4 pints and 13 half pints plus about a cup or so for the fridge. Good stuff!

What did I cook this weekend.....

HA HA passed pawn I have told myself that hundreds of times but once I sit down with food in front of me - I completely forget about everything but digging in! :) Bramling Cross, I figure if I eat properly 90 to 95% of the time, I can do a little "off plan" meal here and there and it won't...

What did I cook this weekend.....

Baked sweet potatoes are just the best. I've taken to ordering those, fully loaded like you would a regular baked potato, at the Steakhouse we love. Never would have thought about putting sour cream/cheese/chives/bacon bits into a baked sweet potato but it's really good. Good for you too!

What did I cook this weekend.....

I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures but we used our new Showtime Rotisserie to do a chicken last night -- only took one hour to cook a 5.6# bird to perfection! Some new company is now marketing them and it worked just as well as the old one we had years ago.

What did I cook this weekend.....

That looks so good, Merry! Did you bake that in a Pullman pan? it's so nice and square!

What did I cook this weekend.....

Looks good to me, BY! Made pot roast last night for the first time since early spring. Two nice thick chuck roasts from Sam's Club, heavily seasoned, well-seared in bacon fat, and cooked with half a bottle of red wine and 6 cloves of garlic and a fat tablespoon of beef stock paste. We like...

What did I cook this weekend.....

Yum, Merry, you know just how to get that right, and with plenty of bacon and onions too!

What did I cook this weekend.....

2 quarts of jalapeños y verduras en escabeche - aka pickled jalapeños, onions and carrots in vinegar sauce. They are SO GOOD and they haven't even had 24 hours in the fridge yet!

    No, it's Pasta Grammar. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1tKrA3PQlDzKzmhgq7wPPQ

What did I cook this weekend.....

Pork Pampanella from Pasta Grammar. It was good. Next time I'll use what they recommended - country style ribs. I had the pack of pork chops so used those but they were on the dry side. Also we found that what we really liked on the meat at the table was the escabeche sauce from a can of...

What did I cook this weekend.....

MMMM yummy looking stuff I've somehow missed! Anybody watch Pasta Grammar on YouTube? They made a dish with pork and LOTS of paprika. I might try it tonight. Meanwhile i am making jerky with 6 pounds of lean ground beef this morning. Such good stuff! Easier on old jaw joints than regular...

What did I cook this weekend.....

Chili verde de cerdo I presume? I'm anxious for some cooler temps here so I can make some of that! :). We've had a few sub-100 highs recently which means fall is on the way - I hope!

What did I cook this weekend.....

Mmmmm Hatch chile season is upon us! Love them. We're in AZ so have good access at every grocery store in town, including Walmart. We might try growing some next year. We're already been roasting/peeling/fermenting them. Nothing better on a cheeseburger!
