    BCS-462

Still available. Asking $200 shipped to US.

    BCS-462

I have a gently used BCS-462 that I'm considering selling and converting to Brucontrol but only if I can get close to breaking even. Anyone still looking for these?

A/C glycol chiller w/ two 14 gal SS Brewtech conicals

Nice! Where did you get the leak stop quick disconnects from?

    What size fridge??

Yeah they are quite heavy. Even moving them on casters isn't the easiest thing.

    What size fridge??

Yes I carbed in the unitank while cold crashing. the carb stone sped the process up over forcing from top down. The unitank also has a higher PSI limit so I'm playing with closing off the relief valve and using the spunding method to naturally carb at the end of fermentation.

    What size fridge??

Ah, that's right. I did the unitank which has the coil on the top. https://www.ssbrewtech.com/collections/home-unitanks/products/14-gal-unitank

    What size fridge??

Yeah I went the co2 route to do pressure transfers. Works really well. Also liked the smaller seal on the brewtech at the top rather than the whole lid of the Spike. Personal preference but you're right the prices were very close.

    What size fridge??

Ahh, yeah. Thats right. I believe that's why I went with the brewtech one up front as the Spike one was death by many cuts with all the 'optional but not optional' components.

    What size fridge??

In the end, you're hopefully investing in a setup that'll last you a long time. You're in a decent amount of money on the conical, I'd recommend going with their system and the glycol. Building your own system may save you 100-200$. Could cost you more if you go the brewpi route. I built my...

“Floating” 3 Keggle + HEX BCS462 eHERMs Build

Love the idea of the pump manifold. Wondering if you had a high level design that shows inputs / outputs? Trying to trace where everything is going / coming from on your picture and starting to scratch my head. :) Beautiful setup!

BrunDog 50A eRig - no HLT for me!

Thanks. And the advanced software is able to communicate with the Arudino Mega over it's associated Ethernet board rather than a local device (USB)? So in theory I could use a VM to run the software and RDP / use the web server (future)?

BrunDog 50A eRig - no HLT for me!

Excellent! Thanks! Yeah the initial thought was to use a tube and that pressure concern was the same in that case. It'd be helpful for ensuring volume at a particular time but will not be accurate when recirculating. Really do like your controller software and the use of a PC to run it all...

BrunDog 50A eRig - no HLT for me!

Super old post, sorry to bubble it up again. I read through some pages but couldn't find any details on your air pressure sensor setup. I currently run eHERMS with BCS in bottom drain Keggles but I didn't bother with a sight glass. I'd like to skip that altogether but would like to introduce...

    Upside Down Keggles?

Well, it took 9 months or so, but Big Head Brewing -finally- got its first brew day in. :) Brewed the "Virgin Blonde" based off of BM's Centennial Blonde. Everything went pretty well. The automated setup with the control panel made it almost two easy... only time I really needed to pay attention...

    Upside Down Keggles?

Also, picked up one of these to wifi-enable my BCS... It works really, really well... very simple too... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003KPBRRW/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

    Upside Down Keggles?

I got this one from Brewhardware awhile back. We'll see how well it works. :) https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/fb15h.htm

    Upside Down Keggles?

Nice! Did you use a BCS? If so, any idea which of the 3 pins on the XLR for temperature probes you need to use to wire into the BCS? I believe you only need two of them but I'm not sure which ones the quick disconnects use. Also, did you just use CAT5/6 cabling soldered onto the XLR...

    Expandable Sleeving

I believe those are the same sized wires in this kit: http://www.ebrewsupply.com/shop/ebrew-kits/complete-kits/complete-50a-bcs-kit-6228.html He includes: 30 ft of 1/8 inch braided poly sleeve for temperature probes 4 cuts of 3 1/8 inch heat shrink tubing for temperature probes

    Upside Down Keggles?

Hey all, Sorry for the (very) long delay... Life / work / travel got crazy... Good news is my panel is nearly complete -- just need to solder in the temp probes and connect to the BCS. Plumbing is good to go, just need to hook up the exhaust vent and clean up the brew room a bit.
