Dang dude, you're hardcore! :) I'm already buying gear to move up to larger BIAB batches, waiting weeks for a mere 1.25 gallons has already gotten on my nerves.

US-05 at room temp. Meh let's see what happens!

Nope, all prior usages were from unopened, refrigerated packs. Got a lot of odd off-flavors. Really buttery one time, other times were very cidery for lack of a better term. I've got a few more packs in the fridge and I'll definitely be giving it another shot, but my last few tries have made...

US-05 at room temp. Meh let's see what happens!

Curious as to the results of this experiment. My experience with US05 has been, shall we say, less than favorable but I want to give it another try.

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

To convert, just multiply by .40 (for a 2 gallon batch, 3 gallons would be .60 etc. ). So if a 5 gallon recipe calls for 10 pounds of two-row, a 2 gallon batch will use 4 pounds. A 3 gallon batch would use 6, and a 4 gallon batch would use 8 pounds.

    Guess on Picobrew's Kickstarter?

Anybody seeing info about the BrewPulse app? I'm unclear if this is something that requires one of the new Pico C/kegs or if it works with the original Pico. No mention of platform or availability either. *edit* Disregard the above, found answers to all my questions.

It took 7-8 tries but I finally got a decent tasting batch out of the Pico. It actually tastes and smells like an IPA! Of course, I had to use liquid yeast (WLP090) and dry hop using my own hops (had some Cascade in the freezer), but at least this batch is not something I'd be embarrassed to...

    Yep, dont mess with it.

    Juicy vs hoppy

Any that I've tried have been extremely aromatic...just in a different way from more traditional IPAs if that makes any sense.

    Guess on Picobrew's Kickstarter?

Looks like at least one of them is going to be something called "Brew pulse". Looks to be similar to the Tilt, measures temp/gravity and reports it to an app or website.

Which Hop stage gives the most Hop Flavor?

One of these days (once I get my BIAB setup going...) I'm going to experiment with a dry hopped only beer.
