    First NE IPA

Welcome to the dark side ;) I was a hardcore west coast-style IPA guy for many years...the more IBUs the better was my view. Until the 1st time I tried a NE style IPA (from Monkish in Torrance CA...I think it was "Beats is Infinite")...it was like the clouds opened up and I heard angels...my...

I've used both WY1318 and SD super yeast (I forget the manufacturer's designation) with good results. US05 can die in a fire :fro:

You can use the FF valve whenever you want. I use it because it's low profile and I can stack a 2nd keg on top of it. Can't do that with a standard airlock.

I ferment in a chest freezer...with an inkbird temperature controller and I still get tons of off-flavors (mostly buttery, but some peachy notes as well) when using US05. I'm not going to be using US05 anymore, it's ruined many a batch for me. If you like it, more power to ya.

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one that can't stand US05. Thought I was going crazy there for awhile :)

I used a very small amount (just eyeballed it, it was around .5 tsp) of US05 in my last batch and it tastes like crap. Very buttery taste and smell, pretty much undrinkable. If I had a time machine and could do it all over again, I wouldn't buy the Pico. I would just spend the money on good...

Looking for a 6-6.5 gallon kettle

Only company making a kettle of this size (at least that I can find) is Kegco. And they're out of stock and don't expect to get anymore until the end of June. I'm looking for something like this: http://www.beveragefactory.com/homebrew/pre-fermentation-equipment/xbk6-6-gallon-brew-kettle.html...

You'll never need it again. Just get some cO2 cartridges for situations where you need portability.

Dang, with all the stuff they're including with the new pico, and the much lower price, I'm kicking myself for buying the original.

    BIAB Brewing (with pics)

The obvious answer (to me at least :P) is an NEIPA: http://www.alesoftheriverwards.com/2015/08/tired-hands-hophands-clone-revisted.html

Anyone use RTIC or YETI bottles for bottling?

I'm curious as to how this turned out...did it blow? Or did it hold the pressure and carbonate the beer satisfactorily?

    Length of time for dry-hopping

Gonna steal this thread for a dry hopping question that I have. For those of you that do multiple dry hop charges, do you remove the 1st charge when you add the 2nd? Or do you leave them both in?

Wort hot when put in Fermentor

You'll probably be ok...probably. What material is the fermenter made from?

Seems like they added a couple more base styles and a couple more grain options to the selection.

    PicoBrew Says Big Announcement Tomorrow...

Yep. Kind of a let-down. I was hoping for some kind of automated/integrated wort chilling attachment.

two brews - is my fermentation stuck again?

Number 2 definitely looks good. Number 1 is a pretty big beer, those often need time to ferment out fully. Did you use a starter or rehydrate for either batch?
