Stirplate DIY - no juice to fan

Do your chargers still work? You may have blown them. They are not designed for inductive/motor type loads. Try a car battery to test the fan. if it works you may need to find a better 12 VDC source. something like this would work well http://www.trcelectronics.com/Meanwell/mdr-40-12.shtml We...

Spunding valve - McMaster pressure relief help

Your gauge needs to be very low pressure increments to read the pressure. The full scale reading should be less that 10 psi maybe even 3 psi. What is the minimum rating on the valve for cracking pressure?

    Butane burner

i just read a couple articles on propane vs butane. It looks like the burners are the same but the regulators are different. They have different boiling points thus pressures...So that's why the different regulator is required. Just google Propane vs Butane and a bunch of information is...

Son of a.....leak in the Keezer!!

I had a leak at the same place but on the gas side a couple of weeks ago. Snug it up and keep an eye on it. dry it off completely then use a paper towel to check for leaks for the first few hours. You can also overpressurize it for a couple of minutes to find the leak. After your satisfied...

    My first keg death.

I have been pulling up on the lid hard while pressurizing it and the bale is latched. It seems to work on the stubborn ones. You can always use it as a fermenter if you can't seal it tight!

New future project ....stirring wort chiller.

It actually works very well. I did it this way to conserve space and maximize surface area. This little thing has the same surface area as 30' of 1/2" . 1/4" is super easy to work with too. I simply spiraled the tube around a 2"piece of PVC. If the wort is hot the water out is really hot! hot...

New future project ....stirring wort chiller.

I am throwing around the idea building or retrofitting my current wort chiller. Right now my chiller is made from (3) 20' coils of 1/4 copper plumbed in parallel with each other. They are about 2 1/2" in diameter and positioned in a triangular shape. It works great, although I have to stir the...

    Gate valve supplier

For a Beer setup, it depends on what you are using them for. However I have used both for lots of different applications. Gate valves have a gate that slides up and down to control the flow. They are better at controlling the flow through them. They have a more precise controllability. They...
