    Solid strut single tier build

Thanks to this thread I now have $165 worth of parts shipping to my house from G-P LLC!! Impulse buy I guess but at only $165 how can you complain! Oh I know how...... Now I need to get new burners because why would I mount my old not matched set on this beauty? That means I need pipe/fitting...

Specialty IPA: Rye IPA Bee Cave Brewery Rye IPA

Brewed on 5/19/13 tapped the keg around June 1st, was not really super excited about the flavors but after reading the whole thread I remember someone saying around week 8 or something magical happens to this beer! Well today is about week nine and almost four weeks since I tasted it last and...

Specialty IPA: Rye IPA Bee Cave Brewery Rye IPA

Just over 3 weeks old and a week on gas, I rushed this beer to free up my fermentation chamber. It's still a little green but not bad I got anxious and pulled a draft, this was poured via a Guinness Stout Tap using CO2.

Rejected Rental House Because of Homebrewing

My landlord actually said she was going to rewrite the new lease saying that we could not brew. When I asked why she said it was bad for the septic tank?? That was 3 years ago I still brew she still thinks it's harming her tank oh well F- her!

    Making clearer beer

I second this, I cold crash my beers and use gelatin in the ones I want super clear! Cold crashing is super easy and cheap plus if you keg the beer takes the CO2 better. Gelatin works good too just remember the beer is no longer Vegan at that point, which does not bother me whole I enjoy a...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

I am doing a double brew day. The wife has to work on Sunday so that's the day! I am brewing a batch of the Raging Irish Red Ale and a batch of Ed's Rye IPA. I have brewed the Rye several times and love that beer but this will be the first time since I started to keg. As for the Irish ale my...

    Hop spider material

The zinc will eventually rust especially if you cut them like I did. The steam will rust them and eventually will drip rusty water into your wort. They will work but if you brew often taken them back and go to a different store to source the stainless.

    My Wedding Jockey Box Build

Looks good!! I myself just got married on April 20th and had 10 gallons of Home Brew and 30 Gallons of Commercial Brew. Let me tell you that was way to much beer! I had 122 guests and granted I also had a full liquor bar but I think I ended up with about 4 gallons of Home Brew left and 20...

Upright Keezer with rigid-mounted picnic taps

Gotcha, I have not connected all my fittings yet but what I have that might remedy this is a second push fitting that goes from 1/4" OD to 3/8" OD the 1/4" ID product hose I have says it is 3/8" OD so we will see. Thanks again though for the fast response on a old thread!

Upright Keezer with rigid-mounted picnic taps

I know this is a older thread however what did you use to connect your 1/4 OD tubing to the 1/4 OD barbed fitting on the Liquid out fitting? I am trying to do something similar for a portable setup but am having issues with this connection.

    Soldering Stainless steel

Yeah, I kinda figured it was for cosmetic reasons, I can see for bottom draining etc why you would want it flush on the inside, but when you have a dip tube to pick up the wort it should not matter much.

    Soldering Stainless steel

Has anyone soldered the coupler so that it sticks out into the vessel? What I mean is currently I use the weldless valves and this setup as most of you know has the coupler on the inside and the valve wedged again the exterior wall of the vessel. I have no issue with this the way it is now and...

    First co2 refill .

I remember my first and next 20 bottling batches..... Then one week I got a deal on a Kegger and not only has brewing been more enjoyable, my skill set has improved 10 fold and I believe that is because I don't mind brewing now since I don't have to bottle! I still remember the first 5 gal batch...
