Hybrid Solid Stainless Strut Weldless Single Tier Build

People don't do it because it is not cost effective and really defeats the purpose of using strut. However here you go...

    My Weldless Build Using Strut

Cut the strut and make braces, you will feel better standing next to all that hot liquid. Not to mention it will just be a cleaner more professional look. If you use slotted from a big box store your talking $15 in strut and $5 in bolts, can't count the angle brackets because your using them...

    New single tier AG build

Yeah, chances are you will be %100 fine! I shot mine with a clear coat. I figured could not hurt anything and might help with the rust..

    My Weldless Build Using Strut

Some have had a little luck with the flat black BBQ paint and even the engine block paint. You also might be able to get the tops powder coated?

    New single tier AG build

You do not want to use galvanized pipe for gas lines, the galvanization can flake off and clog the orifices. The gas can actually erode it where there is a elbow etc.. I have never seen this happen but that's what they say and even the signage at my local Lowes says NOT to use it for gas and to...

    Home made kegerator

Yeah, keeping it inside and not having a tower cooler will obviously help from the sweating but still for general cleaning and spillage it might start to rust if unprotected. You could have used Galvanized but then you lose that rustic look.

    Home made kegerator

Great info!! The park where you used JB Weld was what I was most curious about. I was thinking maybe you found something that threaded right into the faucet. Did you do anything to protect the Iron Pipe from moisture? I know right now I have a chrome tower with two taps and when I turn my...

    Home made kegerator

Very nice! Do you mind posting up some details on that tower? I am building a barn wood top for my kegerator and think your tower design would go well with it!!

Form to wrap immersion chiller tubing?

Don't use sand or salt, the soft copper comes in a wound coil as it is. Just plug one end with a cap or rubber stopper and fill it up with water. Once full with no air bubbles cap the other end with what ever you used on the other side and freeze! Once it's frozen take the caps off, grab some...

    DIY SS Plumbing

Camlocks and Silicone hose/copper pipe. That's what most of us use around here and the reason is there is what you said. " I can't seem to figure out the most economical way to join a tri-clamp end fitting to a custom bent and cut 1/2" stainless tube. What are my options?". Don't get me...

    Solid strut single tier build

I think your asking about my stand since you commented in the other thread with the same questions, these are the casters I used: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000DD1F6/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 Also to bolt the gas manifold to the stand again I took eye bolts that were just a little smaller...

    My Single Tier Strut Brewstand

I bought some eye bolts that were just a little smaller then the 1/2 iron pipe, put them in my vise and opened them up just enough so the would slip over the pipe. Then I assembled all the fittings with the eye bolts over the pipe there on the center and finally took my vise and somewhat...

What cooler works best for a mlt?

Yeah I guess everyone's experience is different. For me I started with a 5 gal Rubbermaid cooler, I only did mini mash at the time. I tried the stainless braid and it just was not working right for me so I built a CPVC manifold that worked better but still lacked. I then built a copper manifold...
