    ha damn

I'm actually always sober, just I have times when that skill is less noticeable.. some might even think me slightly intoxicated at times, this is where the sobriety is a little more noticeable due to the lack of it ;)

The sanitiser I use is the recommended one for the setup I have (sodium percarbonate), its a relatively weak mix so requires a minimum of 2 hours for it to sanitise, although over night is preferable; followed by a solid flow of water to rinse thoroughly.. To get the dried krausen off I use...

    less sweet beer?

If I was I probably wouldn't have so many questions... Good ol' stout and wheat beer here! Who asked this again?

I own a sofa?!! Hey, there it goes! Not sure whether to say yes or no now... They took it, but I'm.not sure whether I warranted this... If its as comfortable for them as for me, I say go for it!

I've been told to bottle before the pellicle even forms, yet after final gravity is reached; that creating a better base for the carbonation side of things, giving a head most bought beers have.. but I really don't think it makes a massive difference unless open brewing, where there's a more...

    less sweet beer?

Or how about a beer or stout which has reached final gravity, could it be re-brewed into a master stock-type brew? "has your brew reached its final days?! Only to figure out it tastes like fermented socks?! why not try throwing it back through the fermenter? Twice as much alcohol in three times...

    less sweet beer?

It's extract, I figure let other people do the hard work .. I figured with this super sweet one just how important hops are actually. Also.. I really don't know what regular stout tastes like, I just like the dark bitterness of it. Never bought one in my life, probably why I'm slightly pedantic...

    less sweet beer?

I was thinking less refined sugars, molasses for example, without going to the more commonly known simple sugars.. I really don't want a watery one, simply for the fact I want something warming and filling, like a whiskey cross tree sap kinda thing.. just really don't know how to do so I do...

    less sweet beer?

Oh yeah, the simple question... How do I manage to do this? :mug:

    less sweet beer?

I made a stout up the other week, its about 8% which is where I wanted it, just a fairly simple question. If I wanted a less sweet one, without losing any alcohol content, could I stir in say a few hundred grams of treacle after the initial kilo, adding new yeast with each addition? Would I need...

    Gimme summer beer ideas

There's a few lemon suggestions, try a lime one. Seems to me to hit the spot better, and its a little sweeter so you can really get that full thirst-quenching benefit, by drinking more! Although a double batch might be in order...

    ha damn

Just thinking I was sitting on top of my broken freezer, only to look up and realise I was entrapped!!1 .. by the room which encounters all the meat and seafood.. way different, but the same height! Guess that's enough these days

Weirdest place you drank a homebrew?

Twice as much. It's just really sweet coffee! Coffee I really can't get enough of... DID SOMEONE TAKE MY COFFEE?! Oh it right here., please continue ...

Yes.. I use a plastic primary, no bad at all. Have a rinse-after-use sanitiser, of which there are no problems. But I don't scrub my gear, I let it soak in sanitiser for at least 2 hours then rub it. I find just about anything comes off (really dark sugars used for brewing might stain plastic...

    My Grandpa's brewing techniques (funny!)

The temperature doesn't concern me, dad use to brew open up in a shed with 40+ degree celcius days, down to minuses over winter.. didn't have anything too bad ;) and I just use tap water, havnt tried the bread one. Yet... One of the fellas I use to know as a kid actually won silver medal one...

    Ugly white stuff.

The centre of it looks like its been left for too long, but the rest looks mad, wait it out and something awesome might eventuate

    Beer not retaining head??

I actually found by using raw sugar when bottling the head is more like bought beer compared to plain white sugar or carb tablets.. actually my uncle who put me onto that one. Works like a charm without fail ;) just use slightly less than it says, otherwise if you're using glass bottles there'll...

    What was this used for?

To me it kinds looks like an urn.. most of them are alloy these days, and I actually use one as a crab cooker, so it shouldn't be dangerous in the least. Or yeast. However you wanna put it.. I'd give it a thorough wash with an unscented bleach though, make sure its of a thingy quality.. somehow...
