it seems many of the recipes call for starting water volumes just over 3.5 gal. How do you use the mini in place of the keg? And did you add corny fittings to the mini or make connection another way? thanks, Mark

Very high "cool" factor for that ^^^ setup. I like the picnic tap as it allows me to bury growler/mini-keg in the back and still have easy dispense access.

I can tell you from direct experience that the serving line length is not an issue. I started with a Tap-a-Draft with no serving line at all and no control over pressure. It produced foam most of the time. I then bought a growltap which has the short length of serving line. It did not however...

Yes, The 6L bottles I use have a rounded bottom and are designed to lay on their side. You just need to be sure the dip tube curves toward the side that is the bottom as it is on its side.
