Flooring/drain options for brewery not in basement

The minimum slope would be 1/8 per foot, but if I wanted it to be safe for keeping water away from carpet, hardwood... I would do 1/4. So depending on where your drain is, you can have a big curb. If in the center of the 6x4 area, you would need at least 3/8-3/4 drop on the 3 foot side. If at...

Flooring/drain options for brewery not in basement

I would hazard to guess that OP might be getting a home in a sub-division that one of the bigger builder has. A lot of the times you can only chose from 6-8 floor plans and have minimum change orders. They make money on how fast they can get them up with fewest changes between each build. Also...

Flooring/drain options for brewery not in basement

Unless you are realllly messy or just want to hose everything down. floor drain is not needed. But it can be done with enough $. Like shoengine said, it will just be a large shower stall. But unless the area was set up to have it recessed down, you will end up with a step up of 1-3 inches- that...

    Balcones Whiskey Barrel

Just pulled my barleywine out of the cask. Gave it 3 days in it. Did not want to push it over the edge with oak. Gave it a quick rinse and put some Jim back in it to keep for the next brew

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

When I put in version 2.2 I had to do it 3 times to get it to work. Then when I went to 3.0, same thing -installed 3 times to get it to work. Every thing was done the same way each time. It seams like it takes a few time for Rasberry to "like" it, lol And make sure you are using the Master...

How much should I expect to invest?

This might be the biggest factor that you have to deal with. If using gas, will you be on your balcony? Is that cool with apt manager? If electric, can you get to 240 power or just 120? If you go with a 3 pot set up, do you have room to do it? Serving by keg is nice, if you have room to set up...

What is your 'must have on hand' style?

Mine depends on the time of year. Summer is beside the pool beer time- blonde ales, ciders, pale ales, maybe a Scottish ale. Fall/ winter is brown ale, Triples, porters and stouts... and a cider for non-beer folks

    Natural gas or electric?

I understand how you feel about drilling the pot. I did it about 2 months ago for the first time. I have done some metal drilling before so was kind of ok trying. I did two holes. One in a alum. deep fry pot as a test then in my $275 pot, lol. I got the bit on a slow boat from China...
