    I've tried photoshop and a handful of other programs and I found Illustrator to be the easiest to learn very quickly. try it out!

    I used a similar setup and easily got mid 70s efficiency with it, keep in mind there are other variables to consider regarding efficiency

    So who's brewing this weekend?

    just completed my first ever "double brew day". did 5 gallons of an American Brown Ale (Cleveland Brown Ale :)) and 5 gallons of a Rye IPA. Took 10 hours, and was a bit more hectic than anticipated (1 boil over, 1 over sparge) but I got the job done. I'll be waiting awhile before I attempt...

    I've been doing some research and I want to get a brew rig built by the end of summer (preferably next month). So I started shopping around for about 60 ft of 16 gauge (.0625) 1.5" square steel tubing here in Cleveland and I can't find anything cheaper than $110 cut. I'm open to other options...

    One of the highlights (for me at least) at the International Beer fest this past weekend in Cleveland was the Bell's Oarsman ale: an "American Pale Wheat Ale" mashed using sour mash techniques. Definitely sampled this one a bazillion times! It's only 4% abv but it's a damn tasty session beer...

    AHA Big Brew May 7th - National Homebrew Day

    Brewing my first ever Saison. Just read Farmhouse Ales and had an urge. Adding a bit of Paradise Seeds as well. Sparging now :)
