How much more work does the Zymatic (and I guess the Z) would require to brew when compared to the Pico Pro? Kegging only. Mainly ingredient prepping? In terms of pricing, if I don't buy large bags of grains, and go in bulk by weight at my local homebrew, how much grain can the step filter take...

Since you own both, do you see value in a all in one machine? If you want to run 2,3,4 batches in parallel I can see maybe. But 1 or 2?

Oh god! :eek: It’s all true. It does look like a server rack full of Zs stacked on top of each other. I bet each with their own hoses that will connect to 5gal kegs. Can they all brew a different recipe? That would be convinient. Looks like a beast... if pricing is accurate, it’s not a cheap...

There must be more to it. I can’t imagine that it’s sinply stacking current Z’s step filters. Expansion via more step filter modules, that’s just it? Does not sound right to me. Diving your bill of grain in 3 or 4, your hops.... nah.

Hummm those look like 2 or 3 U rack mounted units oddly enough and side by side. Maybe indeed one of the variants would allow brewing if paks and/or of loose grains. I would be very interested in such. Makes sense when developing and testing paks. At least to me it does. Ah.... building suspense.

Hummm yeah, good point. How likely that the smaller will have the ability to brew both, paks and loose ingredients?

I find the range interesting. 1 to 10.... it’s flexible, i’m Just surprised by the 1 gal start point. Will it brew either, packs or loose grains? That would be a sweet deal for me. Now add the ability to distill 1 gal at a time and it’s sold.

I'll try with the next ticket. In my case so far, questions have been answered within 4hrs on average, I can't complain about that at all. Then again, they have been fairly simple questions too.

Personally I use the website to create the tickets, based on the categories they have. Sending to info should work just as well. Not sure if they route based on type of issue. If so, maybe it's faster when using the website? But I agree, not to open the box unless asked to.

I ordered 4 freestyle paks on the 26th, and received them on 28th. I guess the freestyle process is different than commercial paks. I received some more on the 22 or 23rd, nothing else since. All shows as shipping queue for the remainder.

@ that price, it's actually cheap for me to home-brew. Cheaper at least than most commercial stuff I have access to at least. And it's fresh! 2 boxes pleases (that's 8 paks)

As others have mentioned, you will see if it fits your need. I used mine once, and plan on converting them in decoration instead. I posted recently some parts you can buy to build a flexible solution. Really all depends on how much you brew and drink, and preferences. due to space, I have 24oz...
