While I see why you may think this, I am puzzled why you take the time to state this in here. You may think we "missed" this. We all figured it out, and still prefer at times this method. To each their own.

Do you lube? I find that when you use keg lube, the seal is well made and rubbing is lower. On higher friction seals (o-rings), I see them degrading quickly. i found on amazon a supplier that carries good, red ones. I choose silicone o-rings, with a rated durometer, it's the hardness that makes...

So adjuncts and hops go in reusable bags? Since they don't put reusable in front, I will guess not. Sounds like you need to buy more than the 10 pack of mash bins.

5 paks and 5 mini paks, plus all the reusable stuff. The 10 pack is for 10 larger picopaks. No clue how those will be, say $2 instead of $3. So $25 of reusable and $25 of consumables approx I guess? Are the hops bags and adjuncts part of the 10 pack, or we would need to buy separately ?

Yes, this is actually a good price. Even better than the option... hummmm

Actually they did. "@Andrew. Yes! Use your own ingredients kits are compatible with Pico U AND Pico C/S/Pro."

Yes, the campaign comments contains their reply. Since the step filter is the same, it will. Pico S is the original Pico model by the way.

Lol.... funny, sounds like me. In my case, no space for a much larger system. I brew 3 or 4 batches in a row and have a mix of pico and 3gal kegs. So far it's the best balance between space and quantity I found. I hear you, I would have introduced a whole step filter with dividers for that...

I doubt. We'll see, but with their business model, I doubt. They will likely put a single use RFID tag on the packs. From the freestyle menu (or a new menu) they will force you to register the packs, and put your recipe. The machine will authenticate the pack just like commercial paks, and pull...

Who makes the pumps? Not sure what triggered the angst, and i’m Not prying (not curious enough to care); on my side I have had quite a few questions in since I received my Pico, and they had been helpful. From excellent to ok. There is one agent who does not go the extra mile but is still...

Oh, and a suggestion. Not everyone will likely agree on this one, but I aerate my wort a lot. And I start my yeast before pitching it, using an erlenmeyer. My fermentations start quickly and I could swear I hear the yeast having a party in there...

;-) Yeah, in that case, first rinse is really just that. For the yeast, I'd say 1 full teaspoon (1tsp). I have also added 1 tablespoon on other packs, and frankly never saw much difference, I am sticking with 1 teaspoon.

It's after e It's after every brew. You should really do it, asap. And every 3 brews, it will tell you it need a deep clean with a dishwasher tablet. I would say, no1 thing with brewing (not just pico brew) it's clean clean clean. The worst that can happen, is infection. All this for...

More headspace that needs to be filled with CO2. Not a big deal, unless you are just using the small 16g co2 cartridges. If you do, consider getting something bigger for carbing and serving, like a paintball or sodastream bottle. Maybe a used CO2 tank. But no big deal. If you get a 10L keg...

That's the spirit! That's why the brewhouse is in disarray? ;-) If you can share the results... and the equipment profile! And I would agree, when/if I ever add adjuncts to my brews, it will be in the keg itself, and well filtered so nothing ends up clogging a filter somewhere. Or worst...a pump.

lol... a carbing stone... not a carving one. BTW, if you plan on having multiple kegs available at a time, say more than 6-8, you may look into Blicmann quick carb. The price of 8 carbing stones and lids vs a quick carb, makes the purchase in the realm of reasonable in my opinion. A quick carb...

I have not found a way to directly translate. I take my style first, and estimate the amount in Oz of the grains I will need. The tool increases in steps, so sometimes I don't get precisely what I expect. The one that is the closest, I typically try. But I often have to play with it and actually...

I guess it depends on the amount of carbonation you expect, the temperature at which you are carbonating, and in what (corny or serving keg). I have my CO2 tank at room temperature as much as possible while my keg is inside the fridge. Or, I carb at room temperature. In the fridge, I will often...

I followed the instructions that came with mine. Which was to increase 1 psi at a time, for about 5min. So I would step up in increments of 1psi as much as possible, and leave it there for at least 5 min. I did so until the manifold was fully open. It. took about 3 hrs. I would leave it...

Wow, you feel a bit more adventurous? For the honey, you don't want to add this while brewing for sure. If you believe the yeast needs the extra sugar during fermentation, I would say to add the honey to the keg right after the brew, while warm to dilute. When cool, and ready to pitch, the wort...
