    Apfelwein to carb or not to carb??

    Thanks for the input. I will probably start another 5 gal when a carboy opens up. I have no will power. But do you carb it or leave it still? EDIT: Thanks Revvy I just saw your post.

    Apfelwein to carb or not to carb??

    I have 5 gal of EdWort's Apfelwein at about 3 weeks in the fermentor and wonder whether to carb or not. Also, I see that it takes about 4 week to ferment out but is there a consensus on how long to age after that.

    pitchable yeast

    You will get a faster start to your fermentation. Same principle of making a starter-more yeast. Which is good. I see you live in Crown Point, Indiana... I lived there years ago. Lake Street Elementary, Taft jr High, Crown Point High. Lived on 125th St. on Hermits Lake. Anything still there??

    Hello from Orlando

    I've been brewing for about a year. The last 2 batches were all grain, I need to work on my efficiency. Beer appears to be OK, I'll find out when it's time drink it. I was on this site a week or so ago and followed a link at the bottom of Orfy's signature for All Star Beers or Best of Recipes...
