You can get an old school bench capper at thrift store or flea market for $10. All I have used for 50 years and never had a problem

I agree with all that but I got the impression the OP didn't have any gear to do that.

If you expose the beer to the atmosphere after fermentation is finished it's a problem. Bottle from fermenter, keep it cold, drink it fast.

Doesn't take much pressure to effect a transfer unless you are going uphill. I use 2 psi and none of my gear is pressure rated. I use glass carboys for fermenting and 2 psi won't even blow the 2 hole carboy cap off
